As if unaffected by the Sea’s waves, a sushi kiosk sets itself on the beach near the Sea.

Standing in the kiosk was a lonesome skinny old man, wrinkled in his face and body, the master sushi chef. A dimple could be seen on the right side of his mouth when he smiles.

A customer walked towards the kiosk, he was half naked and was donning some colorful swimming trunks. He opened up the blue curtains and found the old man inside.

“Hi, how’s it going?” The customer said after taking a seat.

“Good good, how are you?” The sushi chef said in an energetic voice, smiling brightly, showing his dimple.

“Pretty good.” Said the customer, as he tried to look for the menu.

“Menu is behind me.” Said the sushi chef, as he pointed to the wooden planks behind him and handed out a small plate of wasabi and ginger.

The wooden planks read from left to right and all vertically: nigiri, tempura, sashimi. Although the customer was a bit confused on how it worked, he decided to order one of each order.

First came the sashimi. There were three pieces cut into a three two ratio, on top of a shiso leaf propped with some daikon below it.

"Enjoy.” Said the sushi chef as he handed out the tiny sashimi plate to the customer.

The customer took a look at the meat, it was red in color. He was a bit disappointed because he wanted some salmon. He could have asked for a change of meat, but he didn’t care that much. The customer used his chopsticks to pick up the sashimi, and one by one, he put it in his mouth. He didn’t like the meat. It felt disgusting and slimy, it felt like something he shouldn’t eat, but he continued on.

When he was done with the sashimi the sushi chef gave him the nigiri. Again, it was the red meat that he found disgusting, but he ate it again, two whole pieces into his mouth as quickly as he could. He could not stop, like an addiction he kept eating the nigiri and swallowed it.

Lastly, the tempura came, it was bright yellow in color, and there were five pieces of different lengths. The customer thought that it was shrimp tempura, but there were no prawn tails in sight. He picked up the tempura and dipped it into the soy sauce, then slowly put it in his mouth. As he chewed, he bit something hard around his mouth. He took the object out of his mouth and looked at it.

There was a nail.

The customer continued eating the shrimp and took all the nails out one by one, where he would line up the nails side by side. Each of the nails were different in color, blue, purple, red, green, and orange.

The customer was about to take a leave, when another person came to the kiosk. The person was wearing the same sushi coat as the sushi chef, but he was a bit younger.

“Hi, is this our new ingredient for the day?” He said to the old sushi chef.

“Oh yes yes yes, about 180 pounds.” Said the old sushi chef as he sharpened his sushi knife.

The customer suddenly found himself on top of the chopping board. His body was on top of a huge chopping board. He tried to struggle, but both of the sushi chefs held him down.

“Oh he’s a fighter.” Said the young chef.

“Cut up his belly.” Said the old chef.

“Fingers.” Said the young chef.

“Tempura.” Said the old chef.

“Sashimi meat.” Said the young chef.

“And nigiri.” Said the old chef.

As all things should be.
