DIAL 6 FOR HELP

“Gather around everyone, I’m your tour guide tour, Jeff, and welcome to the Chattanooba History Museum. We will be going through the ‘Industrial ‘Revolution Era’ today and seeing as this is the limited tour, I will be guiding you through the exhibitions with little to no information, while you fill out your optional ‘What’s It To You’ sheets. Just write out what you think each piece is to you.”

“Why did you pick the limited tour?” Stacy asked. “Because it was free,” said Daniel, “and we get blocked off from the general public in each room. I want to look at the items without other people crowding me. You know how I get anxiety in large crowds.” “Okay yea, I know, but $5 dollars each to hear the thorough explanation with the added hour would’ve been so much better. It’s Sunday, it’s less crowded and I wanted to relax today, not use my brain” Stacey grumbled with a sweet frown. 10 years married and Daniel still loves when Stacey gets grumpy, so meekishly adorable.

“We’re now entering in the Loom exhibit,” said Jeff, swaggering towards the back left corner of the room with his right hand in his pocket. “When do you think this was invented and what was it’s use?” A piercing soft ringing starts throbbing in both of Stacy ears, winching, she tries to discretely cover her ears. Daniel, bent over the loom, sees Stacy in the corner of his eyes, immediately turns to face her. Somberly looking at her, “Is it happening again, your visions?” he surveyed, while carefully placing one hand on her shoulder. She nodded yes, “I can see a woman dressed in a bee custom running from a masked man with a bloody knife in a wooded area. He has that Nosfartu mask on. I think it’s Halloween, there is spooky decoration everywhere and trick-o-treaters in the far distance. She’s covered in blood, I think she’s been stabbed by him. She’s screaming but she’s too far away to be heard. He is right behind her”

Witnessing Stacy demeanor, Jeff walks over and asks is everything alright. Daniel quickly answers, “Yes she’s fines, she just get these mild migraines on and off for a while. “Would you like me to escort you to guest services, they have a first aid kit and a rest area with snacks” “No, thank you, I’m fine. It’ll go away in few minutes. It’s not a worry.” Stacy proclaimed. “Okay, well just holler and I’ll take you down there if you do need a break, I’ll be close by in case.” Jeff offered with slight concern. “Alright everyone, let’s head into the next exhibit, ‘The Combustion Engine’,” Jeff announced with his swaggered stride, right hand still in his pocket and his left hand brushing back his hair off his face.

While inspecting the rusted antique, Stacey, now frozen in place, eyes squeezed shut while quietly rubbing her forehead catches Daniel attention again, “What are you seeing now,” Daniel inquired. “Oh my god, this is the clearest I’ve ever seen a vision, not dreamlike blurry like the others, it’s like in 4k! The woman is now running towards a dark highway and I can actually feel every her pain and fear. She’s pleading for her life and the masked man is inches right behind her. She’s running towards the traffic and he just pushed her right in front of a truck.” Stacy screamed and fell to her knees when the impact a of the truck struck the girl. Everyone whipped their heads in Stacy’s direction with hushed whispers spreading fast across through the room. Jeff who had only been a few feet directly behind both Stacy and Daniel hurried over and said “are you alright? I insist you accompany to guest services, they'll be able to provide you aid, you need to have a seat.” Stacy agreed and reached for Daniel’s hand to follow them.“Alright everyone, wait here, I’ll return in a few minutes. Just continue with your sheets.” Jeff said to the curious group.

Walking Stacy and Daniel out, Jeff explained this happens every once in a while and it’s no big deal, the receptionist is familiar with the routine. They reached a little hallway by the front entrance marked guest services. Inside with was a little glass desk with two offices behind the host. The host seemed to know exactly had happen and with a sympathetic face rushed over to Stacy, “Now now, let’s have a seat and I’ll get you some water and a snack. This happens all the time, probably just needed to eat and rest. That always seem to do the trick.” “Thanks Jeff,” Stacy said while the host fussed over her with a blanket. “My pleasure, I’ll be in my office, filling out a report quickly, it’s standard procedure. Miriam will take good care of you.” Jeff smiled while entering his office.

Jeff closed the office door and pulled out his flip phone, dialed 6 and after one ring, a rough voice answered, “Another?” Jeff sat down in his chair to answer, “Yes, we have another one, a clairvoyant. I had my transmitter dialed at the normal 2 setting and she reacted almost immediately. I turned it up to 5 and it crippled her. She said she could feel Mallory’s pain. Miriam is giving her the sedative, she’ll be ready to move in 30 mins or so. I will try to convince her husband to continue the tour otherwise I’ll give him the knock out nuts. See you soon.”
