Saw X Story Line

The upcoming American horror movie Saw X was written by Peter Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, and it was also directed and edited by Kevin Greutert. It is the ninth overall Saw movie and acts as both a prelude to Saw II (2005) and a straight sequel to Saw (2004). Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Synnve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, Michael Beach, and Renata Vaca are among the cast members. Mexico City served as the location for filming from October 2022 until February 2023.

On September 29, 2023, Lionsgate plans to release Saw X in theaters in the United States.

A few weeks after Saw (2004)'s events, John Kramer visits Mexico after learning that there may be a "miracle" treatment for his terminal cancer. However, he quickly understandsthat the entire enterprise is a scam that preys on weak people. The notorious serial murderer and his apprentice kidnap the con artists in search of a new target before putting them through a terrifying new set of traps.[3]

Production Improvement

A tenth Saw franchise movie, dubbed Saw X, was said to be in the works with Twisted Pictures in April 2021.[7] authors for the, Josh Stolberg and Peter Jigsaw and Spiral, the first two episodes of the series, confirmed that the script was finished in December 2021.[8] According to Bloody Disgusting, the movie will be directed by Kevin Greutert, who edited the most of the earlier films and also helmed Saw VI (2009) and Saw 3D (2010).[9]

Casting

Tobin Bell's confirmation to return as John Kramer/Jigsaw came in October 2022.Bell appears in the movie more than any other character in the series, according to Greutert, who spoke to Empire.[11] Synnive Macody Lund, Steven Brand, and Michael Beach joined the cast in December 2022.Shawnee Smith plays Amanda Young once more in [12].[13] Additional cast members include Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, and Octavio Hinojosa.[14]
