the bakery workers who were burned to death in 2001 suffered a terrible accident because a company cut corners - something we've heard far too many times before

David Mays and Ian Erickson bakery workers at Harvest Time Bakery in

Leicester were asked to fix a broken oven. The machine should have been allowed to cool for 12 hours, but was only left for two hours when the men climbed inside to make the repairs. They climbed through the bottom of the oven onto a conveyor belt that moved dough through the huge machine

Erickson had taken a radio with him, and after a few minutes inside he sent a panicked radio message that it was too hot, but by then the two men were trappedbecause there was no system to turn the conveyor around or get them out of the oven quickly. It took 17 minutes for the conveyor belt to pass through the oven and for the men to be helped

Ericsson was pulled from the oven with severe burns, and Corn was trapped in the oven. By the time he was freed, he had 80 burns and died at the scene. The tragedy occurred because the bakery prioritized productivity over safety. The repair would have taken four men 12 hours, meaning the company would have lost 1120 pounds for every hour the oven was shut down !

rita Wolfenson lived alone in a house in Brooklyn. Rita, who was registered blind, had been collecting things for many years, filling her house to the brim

Rita was married and had two grown sons, but sadly her husband passed away in 1987 and one of her sons in 2003.

Rita had lost contact with members of her extended family, although she had recently reestablished contact with her brother, which led to the horrific find in her home

Her brother's wife went to Rita's house to pick up some clothes and toiletries for her stay there. When she entered the house, she was surprised by the overwhelming stench of rotting food, the house was full of hoarded items and trash

Remains belonged to Rita's other son, Lewis

Lewis' discovery was news to Rita, as she was under the impression that her son had moved out of their Brooklyn home 20 years earlier. The room where he was found was filled to the brim with trash and rotting food, which likely gave off the odour of the rotting

Police believed Rito was telling the truth and had no idea she had been living with her son's body for many years. An autopsy confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances and Lewis died of natural causes !

The strongest fetus grows while the fetus that would have been its twin continues to live throughout the pregnancy the fetus that would have been its twin continues to live throughout the pregnancy, feeding on its host twin like a parasite at birth Usually, both twins die from the strain, from the stress of sharing the placenta, but in this case the host twin Baggett survived once the twin was removed from Bhagat, his pain and inability to breathe disappeared, it's just a shame it took 36 yearsfor the diagnosis to be made !
