It’s time to pull out your black skull mugs and fill ‘em up with your favorite witchy brew. Let the hum of an autumn night lull you into the spirit of the season. When you’re hyped up from all the Halloween treats and it’s time to dance off those candy pounds get in the groove with this party play list. This list is a perfect mix for pretty wall flowers and the ghastly goblins that love the chance to be the center of attention.

Many people can agree that Tim Burton has created a new realm to horror. He takes what most fear and flinch away from and turns it to humor and romance. One fan favorite being The Corpse Bride. As Emily has a conversation with a maggot and black widow you can’t help but feel for her. Tears to Shed from The Corpse Bride soundtrack is first up on the list.

Next up is Melancholia Music box. This orchestral piece is both melodious and haunting. It gives costume clad lovers a chance to get close and dance to a timeless tune.

Speaking of lovers… Ever been in a relationship where you feel like it’s not going any where? You ask yourself, “do I end it?” or do you give it a little nudge in the direction you want it to go? Avenge Sevenfold chose to give the relationship a nudge, though it was more like a shove, off a cliff, into hell. Number 3 on the list, with its very contradictory title, Little Piece of Heaven. With its gruesome depiction of how you should Not go about taking your relationship to the next level, murder, and necrophilia it gets plenty of points for creep factor. So many it definitely earned its spot in a Halloween count down.

Halloween is a time to face your fears. For many, the thing they fear most is telling that certain someone how they feel. Why not serenade that special person with this Halloween themed love song by a band you probably have never heard of: Zombie Love Song by My Favorite Martian.

What if your flame has fizzled? We have all heard the Halloween heart break song “it’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to” but this next song is even better. Did you know that there is an extended version of Garth Brooks song Thunder Rolls? Tell the woman in the mirror “he won’t do this again,” with this epic metal cover.

Next on the list is Disturbed’s song Animal. Since Lycaon incurred the wrath of Zeus by feeding him a meal made of man, werewolves have stalked the night. From the old English words wer meaning man and wulf (obvious) the wolf man has gone from legend to celebrity. Not only does this myth have its claws buried deep in history it has become an icon for modern symbolism. We all have a monster inside and we can’t hide it forever.

That note brings us to our next song, Monster by Skillet. Technically this band identifies itself as part of the Christian genre but the lyrics of this song play on some of our deepest fears. The scariest monster of all is not the one that creeps through the darkness, it’s the one that stares back at us in the mirror.

Next we hit the high seas with peg legs and eye patches. Pirates have consumed the imagination for years. They were made even more famous by Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom's performance in Pirates of the Caribbean. So set sail this hallowed eve night with Hoist the Colors.

It won’t be a party without a hit boyband. So taking the stage next is Slashstreet Boys performing Slashing Bodies.

To everyone’s surprise Jason Voorhees not only can talk but sing. This hockey mask wearing mama’s boy is making his solo debut with Every Life I Take.

Next let Marilyn Manson announce the season with the hit “This is Halloween” from Nightmare Before Christmas.

Finally, what’s the one movie every woman and girl a like looks forward to come October 1st?

Hocus Pocus.

Let the Salem witch’s put a spell on you and wisk you away to their garden of magic with our last two songs.
