Looks Kinda Freaky
LIKE STRANGER THINGS GOT DRUNK AND MADE OUT WITH EVENT HORIZON ★★★★ THE 405
From the producer of The Witch comes this new instalment of hell on earth in the shape of the void. What's the plot you ask, here you go:
Encountering a blood-soaked man on a dark deserted road, a police officer rushes the victim to the local hospital. Soon the staff and patients are trapped by a terrifying, otherworldly threat and forced on a hellish voyage into the depths of the building to escape the nightmare.
This movie looks like a perfect blending of #StrangerThings by way of #Hellraiser and #PrinceOfDarkness. In fact it seems like the sort of movie that John Carpenter should STILL be making on a yearly basis. Either way if you like mystery horror with an extremely unsettling flavor then you could do a lot worse then check this out upon release.
ONE BOILING POT OF PURE HORROR. IT'S A FREAKING JOY ★★★★ SCREAM MAGAZINE
There are plenty of pretender movies out there trying to achieve that 80s feel in horror and sci fi at the moment. Many of them suck though which is usually because they truly don't understand the era they've stolen from. The Void looks set to put those to shame and even give Stranger Things a run-for-it's-money! No small feat thats for sure...
Don't get left behind, check out The Void first hand when it hits UK Cinemas on March 31st, tickets available on Our Screen now. It's also available on Digital download from April 7th and DVD/BluRay from the April 24th.
