I have always had a love for buildings that have been lost or forgotten, but when my husband took me to this location I fell in love. As you walk around this large breathtaking site you can see and understand what the workers had to do daily to run this beautiful plant out of Pedro, Ohio. This stunning worksite is stretched out across 7,500 acres and everywhere you look you can see some part of the old factory. In 1986 the plant was closed down due to some labor disputes against the site. Many have made claims since then for years this location was not only ran-down but full of it's lost workers who have passed and still walked the grounds in which they worked their daily work shifts. There has also been those whose life was taken on the site itself. These lives are not only of those who worked here but those of the area who had their life taken. An offset feeling will take over you, as you step into these large towering buildings. The feelings of sadness and playfulness take over, yet there is a little bit of a scary feeling to the site due to the stories surround the site; as well, there is no lighting within the towers. This site is very large this is just one of the three towers in which you can walk into. The walls are covered with tags and paintings of those who came and wanted to be known for their visits. Rusted metal and broken cement shafts that helped its workers mixed what they are told to do daily cover the grounds, alongside overgrowth eating up the towers like a hungry child would eat up their lunch. It is stunning and beautiful how what is lost or forgotten can truly be. Or is it really forgotten at all?

Those never really understand that a building that has been closed down for years or a home that is left due to unknown reasons is really never really lost or forgotten. Those who lived that job or those who lived that life within those walls or yard still can be there. Still living that life and working their everyday job that they did when they walk this world living. Or even if there is not a ghost or a spirit walking that land there are still memories that are marked in stones, or around you daily if you just take the time to look or listen.

Do you want to take the time to listen and learn? Learn the beautiful stories behind each site you see and visit. You might be shocked by the History lesson you might gain. History is and has always been a very important part of everyone's life, even if they are really not much of a history person.

This beautiful location is not for the faint of heart. There is a lot of walking, and pushing weeds to the sides, And remember there are no lights within these buildings so flashlights only give so much lighting which doesn't help that off feeling in which you are already feeling.

I remember one time I took my son who wanted his 15-year-old birthday photos taken at the site. I was taken photos of him leaning against the cement wall next to a very unique tag of a blue creepy horned smiley face that said " I'm dead inside" just when I leaned down to snap the photo of him we both hear a soft giggle as a small girl was inside the towering building playing and laughing at us for taken photos. When we both stood up and made our way into the building to make sure no child was lost inside we come to find out we were there alone. Well, we were alone in a since.
