Part 1

Her name is Arini, she is 14 years old. He has a brother named Alex, this man is a very good brother, caring but also mischievous.

His parents divorced when he was 12 years old. Arini always misses her mother who lives far from where they currently live. Father is always busy with work so the father rarely spends time with his two children.

Today, Arini is very happy because she got the highest rank in class and became the student with the second highest score at school. The girl's wish was very simple, namely that she wanted to meet her mother in Surabaya.

So today he will ask for a gift from his father for his success. Arini plans to talk to her father when the man comes home. Arini really hopes that this time God will grant her wish.

At dinner, the father had not come home. It's not surprising that Arini and Alex eat without their father every day because their father is too busy with his work at the office. But, not long after,

"Daddy's home..." it was dad's voice. Arini immediately approached her father and hugged him. "Eeehh, I can't hug daddy, what's going on?" asked my father while holding back his laughter

"He wants to go to Surabaya, Dad," replied Alex briefly. Dad was silent for a moment and his facial expression also changed 180 degrees. It seems like dad still doesn't want to meet mom, dad still hates that woman.

Arini really wants them to consult again, the girl really wants things to be like before, gathering together, eating, playing and going on picnics. All that he wants to recreate as soon as possible.

"Dad doesn't want to take me to Surabaya? Dad always promises to take me there, but dad always breaks those promises." then the girl went to her room feeling sad. In the end they didn't eat together.

Arini has gone to her room and so has father. At the dining table there was only Alex and he was silent, thinking about how to persuade his father to comply with his younger brother's request.

Alex also came to father's room. He approached the man who looked down languidly, who was sitting on the edge of his bed. Alex also showed the grade book and videos at school.

"Father, he succeeded this time. He wants to go to Surabaya, Dad. He wants to meet mother... Not just Arini, but me too, Dad. Don't you want to meet mother?" Alex asked to persuade his father.

While listening to his son's words, the father's eyes filled with tears when he saw the video. "I hope you understand our wish. Please grant it, father, even if it's just this once..." then Alex left.

While in the room, Arini tried to send a message to her mother. He asked the mother to talk to the father so that the man would take them to Surabaya, to meet the mother there.

Not long after, there was a knock on the door. Arini opened the door to her room and it turned out to be her father. "Oh?! Dad?" he said nervously

"Can dad come in?" the man asked. The girl nodded and opened the door wide so that her father could enter comfortably. Dad came in and sat on the edge of the bed,

"Did you make it?" My father spontaneously said that word. Of course, Arini was shocked beyond belief, because she hadn't even told her father about her grades

"Yes, Dad. I've worked hard this year, this is all for you. If I get a scholarship, I won't bother you about school funds.I know dad is busy at the office, so I don't want to bother dad," he explained with a slight smile at dad, "Dad doesn't even eat because he works overtime, so I don't want to bother dad. And maybe this time isn't the time to..."

"You want to go to Surabaya, right?" Dad interrupted the girl. Arini was just silent, afraid that her father would be angry with her.

"Tomorrow we are going to Surabaya, so get ready now. Dad will tell Alex too," explained dad.

|"Really? Tomorrow? Dad isn't lying this time, right?" Ask Arini to make sure what the man just said is true. Dad shook his head.

"Thank you dad!" he said, then the girl hugged her father happily. Finally my father kept his promise.

Then father left Arini's room and went to Alex's room, his eldest child. When the father entered his son's room, Alex was seen contemplating looking out the window.

"Get ready, because we are going to Surabaya tomorrow," said father. Suddenly Alex was shocked to hear the man's words, he turned to his father with bulging eyes.

"Really? We're going to mom's place? Are you kidding me?" he asked curiously. Dad shook his head and smiled, showing that he wasn't lying this time.

Happily, Alex approached and hugged the father and said, "Thank you father, I have kept my promise all this time." This is the best decision for his children, so the father has to keep his promise that he has been breaking.
