The night was dark and eerie, with a dense fog settling in. The silence was broken by a blood-curdling scream. I jumped out of my bed, my heart racing and my body drenched in sweat. I wondered if it was just a nightmare, but the scream was too real. Curiosity got the best of me, and I cautiously moved towards the window to see what was happening. I saw a figure, a woman in white, running frantically on the deserted street. She looked terrified, and before I could make sense of what was happening, she fell to the ground, lifeless, with a gaping wound in her throat.
