Whispers in Room 313
The House With No Past It started with a Craigslist ad. Three-bedroom Victorian, dirt cheap, barely an hour outside Portland. No neighbors for a mile. The photos were grainy, but I saw the charm under the grime. I needed quiet. I needed space. I needed to disappear for a while.

The air felt heavy, as if some unseen force was lurking in the darkness. I was alone in my room, reading a book under the dim glow of a lamp. Outside, rain poured relentlessly, and occasional flashes of lightning illuminated the entire room in an eerie white light. Suddenly, I felt an unsettling presence—someone, or something, was watching me from the corner of the room. I looked up, but there was nothing there. Yet, a cold shiver ran down my spine. I tried to convince myself that it was just my imagination. But as soon as I lowered my gaze back to the book, the feeling returned—stronger this time. The Figure in the Shadows I lifted my eyes again, this time toward the door. It was slightly ajar, revealing only darkness beyond. But within that darkness, two glowing eyes stared straight at me. My heart stopped. I quickly turned up the lamp’s brightness, but as soon as the light intensified, the eyes vanished. I told myself it was just a trick of the mind. I decided to close the door, but as I stood up, it slowly creaked shut on its own. My blood ran cold. I grabbed the handle, but it wouldn’t budge—as if someone on the other side was holding it shut. The Man in the Black Coat I yanked the door hard, and it finally opened. The hallway outside was pitch black. I grabbed a flashlight and stepped out. The air smelled strange—like rotting fabric. When I shone the light down the corridor, my breath caught in my throat. A tall, gaunt figure in a long black coat stood against the wall. Its face was hidden in shadow, but I could feel its gaze piercing through me. I tried to scream, but no sound came out. The figure began moving toward me, slowly, deliberately. I stumbled backward, my legs trembling. Then, a flash of lightning lit up the hallway, revealing its face—pale as death, with hollow black eyes that seemed endless. I squeezed my eyes shut and screamed, **"GO AWAY!"** When I opened them again, the figure was gone. But my body wouldn’t stop shaking. I rushed back into my room and locked the door. I tried to convince myself it was just my mind playing tricks—until I saw something on the floor near my bed. A black coat button. The Dark Secret The next morning, I told my family what had happened. My mother immediately called an elderly woman known for dealing with spirits and the supernatural. She inspected the house and revealed that the spirit of a man who had died here years ago was lingering. "This spirit doesn’t wish to harm you,"** she said. **"It’s trapped and needs help. You must pray for it." I followed her advice and recited prayers for several nights. Then, one evening, I dreamed of the man in the black coat. This time, he was smiling. He waved at me as if saying goodbye. After that night, I never saw him again. But even now, when I remember that encounter, my skin crawls. **The End.** Have you ever experienced something like this? If so, I’d love to hear your story! 👻

A Chilling Encounter: My Terrifying Stalker Experience
The Beginning of the Nightmare It started as an ordinary Thursday afternoon in late October. I was sitting in my usual spot at the university library, surrounded by law textbooks, when I first noticed him. A gaunt-faced man in his late 20s, wearing an ill-fitting navy sweater, had taken the seat diagonally across from me. What struck me immediately were his eyes - dark, unblinking, and fixed on me with unsettling intensity.

The Mirror That Remembers
The Mirror That Remembers by[javid khan] They said the old building was cursed. Graystone Asylum had been abandoned for nearly four decades, standing like a rotting tooth on the edge of town. Its windows had long since shattered, and ivy crept like veins over the cracked stone walls. No one went near it—until the day it was torn down.

I Died Last Night
In the quiet darkness of the night, Aisha felt like she'd died. Not in body, but in the emotional landscape of her heart. She lay in her room, surrounded by shadows, thinking of him - the one whose arms were now "bereft of bloom". The walls of her room seemed to close in on her, amplifying the silence that had grown between them like a living thing.
