Jenifer is a Disgusting and Disturbing Love Story Between a Monster and a Human
This creature will creep you out...

Jenifer is a short horror story that was a part of an underrated television show known as Masters of Horror. This episode is one of the few that left me feeling very disturbed. We follow the story of a man named Frank, who is a detective. He saves a random young girl from getting murdered, and as he comforts her, he notices her disfigured face, that sort of resembles a cat.
He decides to take Jenifer home, wanting to look after her. The downside is that he already has a family, and as time passes, he starts to exhibit strange behavior. His wife isn't happy about their new member of the family, and once they catch her literally eating up their pet kitty, his wife and son leave him. He stays behind with Jenifer, still not wanting to leave her side.
Jenifer and Frank end up forming a romantic connection, because she uses her body to catch Frank's attention. He falls under her spell, and he eventually starts to go insane once she starts to eat people. He instantly moves away with Jenifer to a new town, when she decides to eat a little girl that was his neighbor. When they arrive to this new town, things seem alright at first. Jenifer and Frank are still romantically involved, but this time around, she is on her best behavior.
Once she catches him getting close with another woman, Jenifer decides to go after her son. She lures him to their place, and then Frank discovers her ripping the kid apart as she ate him.
Frank completely cracks, and he drags her away, to kill her in the woods. Before he can finish off Jenifer, he is shot by a random stranger. Before Frank dies, he whispers Jenifer's name to this man, mimicking the same guy that he had killed to save Jenifer.
The man comforts Jenifer, and she holds his hand, starting to caress him, hinting that this toxic cycle is going to continue.
I can't believe that no one ever thought to just straight up shoot Jenifer on the spot. Once she killed that kitty, I couldn't believe that no one in that family thought to report her or get rid of her.
My guess is that Frank was way too obsessed with her by this point, and that's why Jenifer was spared from whatever fate was awaiting her. I honestly got so disgusted with all of the romance scenes, because none of them looked natural. I think it had to do with Jenifer acting like some sort of animal whenever Frank would spend time with her.
I'm sure that was the intention with this episode, but man, I struggled to watch all of their scenes together.
Plus, I thought it was really cool how we never got a backstory to what Jenifer actually was. We did get an interesting backstory moment of what Jenifer used to look like. As Frank was in bed, he suddenly saw a human like version of Jenifer, reaching out for him.
I do have a theory as to how Jenifer looked like a human version of a cat.
My guess is that some sort of curse was placed upon Jenifer. Maybe she pissed off someone, was probably having an affair with their partner, (which explains why Jenifer is seen as an irresistible woman, despite her creepy appearance) most likely a witch, and this curse led to Jenifer turning into a cat like person.
I wonder if maybe Frank could not get out of this odd spell that Jenifer had over him. I'm sure that was the case here, since he was willing to let his family go, and allow Jenifer to stay with him.
Jenifer is a scary horror story that will leave you freaked out from beginning to end.
