Detective Emma Davis was assigned to investigate the death of an old woman. Detective Davis believes ‌the old woman is missing due to the location of the abandoned building that took place in an abandoned building. She followed her intuition and concluded that she was dealing with something more than just an accidental case.

The old building seemed eerie, and Detective Brown could feel the energy emanating from it. She took a deep breath before she entered the building and walked through the corridor that had been left open for her by the police officers.

She walked through the dark hallways, past empty rooms, searching for something that would give her a clue but couldn’t find anything. She had never seen such intense feelings like these before and she couldn’t shake off this feeling of unease while inside. A part of her wanted to turn back, but there was also another part that felt drawn towards finding out what was going on here.

She stopped when she reached another door, this one marked "private" which led into another room similar but smaller than the other rooms. There were three beds surrounded on either side with storage space beyond those shared ones containing several furniture pieces including shelves stuffed full of wreaths-of-"stash", paper lanterns, various pens and notebook sheets hanging freely below flooring depicting intricate vignettes.

“I never should have come here by myself,” she thought to herself as she stared off into space for a moment. Detective Brown stood motionless, absorbing the energy of the old building. No one was supposed to be here except for her, but she knew that someone had been here recently. She walked through the corridors and up a flight of stairs, feeling as though she were being watched from every angle.

Walking down the lonely corridor, she heard what appeared to be someone moving about in a room with its door open. As she neared the door, an eerie blue light radiated from it. Without hesitation, she entered the room, her senses heightened as she stepped into the room’s energy field. The thought of not being able to see or hear someone was very disturbing.

As Detective Brown faced her fear, she could feel the energy moving through her body. She stood motionless, absorbing the energy of the room.

It had been over ten years since anyone had set foot in this place and it felt as if they were still here, as if their essence still lingered in the air and they were watching her every move. The thought caused her spine to tingle and goosebumps rose on her skin. It was unnerving and she could feel her body become tense. She swallowed hard and forced her feet to carry her on. “What could it be?” she wondered.

Her heart raced, her skin crawled as something reached out with one of its two hands. The detective jumped back, her heart pounding non stop. She could not find her attacker, let alone the room the person disappeared into. “This is Detective Brown. Come out with your hands up!” She shouted.

She could hear her own voice, then, suddenly, the other voice seemed to vanish into the thin air. A few minutes later, a voice that was not hers could be heard in a dark corner of the room coming from a locked chest. It was that of a woman’s voice.

It took all the effort of Detective Brown to pry the lock off the chest. She couldn’t believe her eyes. It was the remains of an old woman that was murdered and stuffed into the chest of what was once an asylum for the insane. The detective had seen no one so well preserved and looking so calm. Her hair had lost its curls like they were nothing but fluffy strands clinging to her face. The lifeless body looked straight at Detective Brown as if to say, “thank you for finding me.”
