In the darkness

She walks in the darkness, never in the light. The dark is her home and has been for hundreds of years. She shall never leave her home or her land, for she is cursed to walk it for all eternity. You see she was cursed by her home that was build on an ancient witch burial ground.It was disturbed during the building of the house and everything around it. The ancestors of the witches that were buried there we very displeased with being disturbed and placed a curse on the house, who shall every pass away in the house shall walk the grounds for all eternity and never have peace. The lady of the house was the unfortunate one to have the curse take over her afterlife. The rest of her family was luck to have pass away elsewhere, but she had come down with an incurable sickness and passed away in her bed chambers. The poor dear though she was sleeping and had awoken to feeling much better. She got out of her bed for more energy than she had had in months. She went to her window and looked out to see that it was night. She thought it odd for a moment, but shook it off and went to find her beloved family. She searched every room of her home and couldn't seem to find them. Her husband and two children where nowhere to be found. she wondered the house for hours till she heard something from outside. She ran to the front doors to greet them all with open arms and to show them that she had over come her illness. When the doors opened she noticed her husband hung his head low and her children had tears filling there eyes.She called to them, but they didn't seem to hear her. She knelt down and held her arms out to her children to embrace them, but once they got to her they walked right through her like she was never there.

She when cold and stiff.She didn't understand how that could be. Is she imaging it? Was she not as close to them as she had though? All of these questions ran through her mind. She sat and collected herself for a moment and then decided to go and receive the answers she needed. She walked into the sitting room where her family was sitting. Her husband sitting in his favorite chair, and the children sitting on the couch. She decided to stand and listen to the conversation for a moment to see if they would give away something as to why they were not noticing her. The children sat in silence with tears still streaming down their faces, as her husband gave orders to the staff. She went stiff when she heard her beloved husband say the awful words that send a shiver down her spine. We must arrange the funeral for my lady, Funeral? for me? Why on earth would he be arranging a funeral for me? She shouted from where she stood for her husband and children to hear her." I'm standing in front of you, please see me i'm right here," She shouted as loud as she could, but no one could hear her.

It finally became clear to the lady that she was forever gone from the world of the living after days of trying to be notice by her loved ones with no luck. The loneliness and sadness took over her mind and she started to wonder. She walked the house that she so loved with all her heart searching for her family that had passed on so many years ago. The lady of the house will forever walk the property of her family home searching for anyone she loved.
