In a field of Snapdragons

Darkness enveloped the town of Arkkukari when a boat washed ashore. A clearly old boat, which seemed in pristine condition, with the word "Daisy" on the side of it, and no one inside, but only a sinister secret.

Aestra and her friend group were spending a day at the beach, messing around when they came across this sight. As all teenagers do they decided to explore and take home what they thought was cool. Once on the deck, all they saw were snapdragon flowers blooming in random spots of the ship, from the floorboards of the deck to pieces of cloth scattered around the ship, even from corpses of mice. Aestra made her way to the bow of the boat to see a snapdragon flower growing from a captain's hat, and a journal nearby with the name Serena Irvine etched on top. She bent down to grab the hat & journal and take a closer look at the flower, but as soon as her hand made contact with the rim of the hat, the snapdragon wilted leaving behind a skull-looking cocoon of what beauty it was before. A purple mist came from the hat, with a screech following after. Aestra backed away terrified, running down quickly telling her friends to run away now and stop messing with the boat. They ridiculed her, calling her a scaredy-cat. The purple mist took the shape of a woman, dressed in a white knee-length dress, with a corset and a coat on top that seemed too big to be hers, She put on the hat where the snapdragon was and turned to the children with a creepy smile on her face.

She whistled and all the other snapdragons dried up in a second though they seemed as if they had just bloomed, from there different ghost mists showed up and she ordered them to kill everyone on board. She was the leader, Serena presumed Aestra as she watched what happened to her friends in horror. She started backing away from the boat and dropped the journal which made a thud as it hit the rocky beach. Suddenly all the attention was on her, everything stood still for a while, Aestra looking at the boat, seeing all the eyes turned to her. The crew inched closer before she snapped to her senses and started running in the direction of the forest surrounding the beach.

“They won’t find me easily here, it's better here than running in the direction of the car, it would take too long.” -she was thinking as she ducked into a hollow trunk of a tree. She could hear them laughing and howling as they started chasing after their leader in front. All of the sudden, a snapdragon sprung up, and within seconds it wilted into a skull. Aestra took off running again as she saw a trail of snapdragons after each step she took, all of them blooming into beautiful flowers from nothing, only to wilt in the very next seconds. She could hear the crew get closer and hear the snapping of the branches and the wailing cries of any animal that crossed their path.

Soon there was nothing left but snapdragons. A now exhausted Aestra was standing in a field of freshly bloomed flowers, awaiting her untimely death, as she saw each flower wilt and die as the Acanthus Pirates got closer to her. She picked up one of the flowers placing it on her hair, as the crew transformed from physical beings to a green mist that enveloped her, leaving behind nothing but a beautiful snapdragon, growing from bones.
