....Is it necessary all the time?

It was the 3rd of March, 3.35 A.M.

Nick was woken up by the knocking on the door.

One knock every three seconds.

Nick slipped in his slippers and started walking down the hallway.

As he walked down, the knocking on the door got faster, almost like a heartbeat.

By the time Nick got to the door the knocking stopped.

He looked outside by the peep-hole but nobody was there.

He went back to the room, back to his bed assuming someone had played a disgusting prank.

At around 4.30 A.M, Nick was awoken by a loud crash.

It felt like someone shut the front door shut!

Nick jumped, he was terrified, he looked over his frosted window to find “SMILE” written all over it in the frost.

He grabbed his phone next to him ready to call the police, only to find a message on it saying “I TOLD YOU TO SMILE”.

Nick cried and ran for his life outside.

As soon as he ran outside he went to his neighbor across the road, who answered and held him while he sobbed.

They phoned the police and exactly 20 minutes later, the police arrived.

After an extensive search of my house, they came to my neighbor’s house, they conveyed that there was no evidence at all and there was no one in the house other than Nick.

The messages on the window were gone, same with his phone.

The Police asked Nick to get some sleep and advised him to book an appointment with the doctor for stress and anxiety issues.

But deep in the heart, Nick knew whatever he saw, whatever he felt was real!

The following evening after spending the day at the neighbors, Nick went home.

He went up to his bedroom and decided to set up a camera, it was aimed at the space between the window and the bed.

He set it in record mode and went to sleep.

On the other day, Nick was thankful because he slept undisturbed for the whole night.

He got up, dressed, and sat down with a piping cup of coffee in one hand and a camera in the other.

That the smell of freshly made coffee was the greatest investment plus the bonus good night's sleep.

He started to watch the footage and couldn’t believe what he saw!

With fear-filled shock, he spilled the coffee all over him.

The coffee’s heat didn’t seem to bother anymore, he turned to stone, eyes transfixed on the footage, his lips trembled, he started sweating, his hand shivered.

It felt like winter came unannounced.

At 2.00 A.M in the morning, something crawled out from under his bed, it was a completely naked anorexic man!

He stood up and continued to stare at Nick who was on the bed fast asleep at that time.

He stood there for an hour, not moving at all, before walking in front of the camera until his face took up the whole shot.

He was extremely pale and had bulging veins all over his bald head, his eyes were completely black with a sinister cracked smile on his face.

He stared at the camera for another 2 hours not blinking, just slightly twisting his head every now and then.

After roughly 2 hours of him staring went past, he walked back over to my bed and crawled back under.

Nick skipped the video forward until it showed Nick himself walking over to the camera and grabbing it, the video finished.

Nick turned blue.

He was terrorized.

The video showed the man crawling back under but not leaving.

Whatever it was, it was still there!!!
