I Heard My Own Voice Calling Me... 📞
"Some voices should never be answered."

The rain had been falling for hours when Ethan finally arrived at the old cabin deep in Blackwood Forest. His phone had no signal, the nearest town was over twenty miles away, and darkness swallowed the trees around him.
It was supposed to be a peaceful weekend.
Instead, it became the worst night of his life.
As he unpacked his backpack, he heard something strange.
A voice.
Soft...
Familiar.
"Ethan..."
He froze.
It sounded exactly like his own voice.
He laughed nervously, convincing himself it was only the wind echoing through the forest.
Then it came again.
"Ethan... come outside."
His blood turned cold.
The voice wasn't coming from inside the cabin.
It was outside...
Standing somewhere between the trees.
He grabbed a flashlight and slowly opened the front door.
Nothing.
Only endless darkness and the sound of rain hitting the leaves.
Just as he turned back toward the cabin...
The voice whispered again.
"Don't go back inside."
This time...
It came from behind him.
He spun around.
No one.
Only the forest.
Heart pounding, Ethan rushed back inside and locked every door and window.
Then his phone suddenly lit up.
Incoming Call.
There was no number.
Only one word:
"ME."
His hands trembled as he answered.
Silence.
Then...
His own voice spoke.
"I'm still outside."
The call ended.
A loud knock echoed through the cabin.
Knock...
Knock...
Knock...
Ethan stared at the door without moving.
Slowly, he looked through the peephole.
Standing on the porch...
...was himself.
Same face.
Same clothes.
Same terrified expression.
The copy smiled.
But Ethan wasn't smiling.
Then the thing outside raised one finger...
...and pointed toward the bedroom behind Ethan.
A cold breath touched the back of his neck.
A whisper floated through the darkness.
"You opened the wrong door."
Ethan slowly turned around.
Someone was standing inside the cabin.
It looked exactly like him.
The lights went out.
The next morning, hikers found the cabin completely empty.
No footprints.
No signs of struggle.
Only Ethan's phone lying on the wooden floor.
It rang one last time.
The screen displayed a single name.
ETHAN.
Someone answered.
A calm voice whispered...
"I'm still outside."
