ESP and Psychic senses

It starts with a tickle. A feeling of flesh crawling. The hairs on your arms stand and the gooseflesh appears. What is this feeling? Why am I feeling this way? Then you see it. A mist forms in a dark, shadowy corner of the room. As you are frozen in place the mist moves. It begins to take form. Now there is a smokey being stand in the corner. The characteristics are that of a female in a white gown. You try to move or say something, but time is halted. The misty woman looks at you, smiles, then turns, and walks into the wall. The cold feeling retreats. All the hairs on your arms and gooseflesh goes away. Your mind begins to race. One question a blaze in your mind, what was that? You might think this is some plot line to a good scary movie, but you could be more wrong.

A situation like this one happens to many people who have encountered spirits (AKA Ghost). Those who have the ability to see spirits though, the experience is something that happens frequently. These Seers have been interacting with spirits for the majority of their lives. What causes someone to be able to speak and see spirits? No one really knows for sure. Those I have encountered during my years as a practicing Wiccan/Witch have told me many different stories. Some of had the ability from birth. Noting that their parents can recall stories of them talking to imaginary friends. Not everyone who had an imaginary friend has the ability. Though the ones that have had an invisible friend that have given a name plus a background history including how their friend died. Those are the ones that have possessed the gift from birth. Others have had severe trauma. Such as car accidents, near dead drownings, and what not. A person that has come close to death due to a trauma tends to come back a bit differently. Almost like a part of their brain that had never been switched on suddenly got a light bulb. Then there are people who have had a personal trauma happen. Something that they may have witnessed. A death of a beloved family member, witness to a murder, etc. Something that has altered that person. Shaken them to their core due to someone/something's loss of life. These people also have recounted a moment of profound grief in their lives that triggered their gift.

What is the point of all this? All these people have one thing in common. Their gift was already there. The brain in wired in a way where when there is a trauma of some sort it tends to literally rewire itself. Those born with it, were already wired differently. So, the real question is, what part of the brain holds this ability? The answer eludes researchers to this day. Doctors have researched people with these gifts and have found a heightened brain activity while the brain is at rest. Though the findings are still inconclusive, researchers are learning more and more about having Extra Sensory Perceptions (ESP).

My belief is that we all have some sort of ESP. For the majority of people, we have no way of really tapping into it. People handle traumas differently. Naturally it is not a common case for someone to end up with some sort of ESP. There are the exceptions (the ones listed above). With the invention of the camera, ghost have been getting seen more and more. Now more of the non-seeing public are starting to capture images that would have never been seen before with the naked eye. There are shows (some channels too) that are devoted in capturing unexplained phenomena. Seeing it on TV is one thing, actually witnessing in action is a whole different thing.

We have celebrity Seers that have pinpoint accuracy. What about the ones that are not famous? I have known many people with unique ESP gifts. They do not make a profit from it, though they do try to use it to help people who are suffering. The one drawback for those who do have the gift is mental illness. A lot of these seers and psychics have some sort of mental illness. Now I know hearing this may be unsettling to some. Let me explain. The words 'mental illness' is a blanketed term. Most of these special people tend to have some sort of ADHD, Depression, Autism, all the way to Schizophrenia. Now not all do have a problem with a mental illness. Though in my experience, the people I have met through the years do have some sort of mental illness.

Ghost hunting has now become a worldwide cultural phenomenon. People have become obsessed with capturing evidence of life after death (present company not excluded). Yes, even I can't help but be intrigued with the idea of life after death. Watching shows, as well as trying to find my own evidence. Though part of me feels for the people that have these ESP gifts. Some suffer greatly from it. They see people who have passed in many different ways. It is not always a beautiful image that presents itself. Some are still in the state they were in when they died. Why is that? Well, it is a belief that if your life was taken, not ended, that your soul stays in that state. Murder victims tend to stay the way they are until they get their justice or finally willing to move on into the afterlife. I know it sounds harsh almost cruel. That is why these Seers have hard times when they have to be the witness to someone in such a state. A friend of mine has seen people in some of the worst states of death imaginable. That in itself leaves trauma to the person seeing it. So, the next time you think to yourself, I would love to have that gift. Read this article. You might think otherwise.
