The old, abandoned house at the end of the street had always been the subject of curiosity and fear among the locals. It was said to be haunted, and anyone who dared to enter it never returned. As a young boy, Jack had always heard these stories, but he had never believed them. He thought it was just a way for the older kids to scare the younger ones.

However, as he stood in front of the house, now an adult, he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was not right. The house looked more ominous than ever, with its windows boarded up and the front door slightly ajar. Jack had heard rumors that the house had been vacant for years, and the previous owners had disappeared without a trace.

Curiosity getting the better of him, Jack pushed the front door open and stepped inside. The air was musty, and the only light that filtered through was from the cracks in the boarded-up windows. Jack's footsteps echoed through the empty hall as he made his way to the living room.

Suddenly, the door behind him slammed shut, making him jump. He turned to face the door, but it wouldn't budge. Fear crept up his spine as he realized that he was trapped. He tried the windows, but they were too high to reach, and the boards were nailed shut.

As the hours ticked by, Jack's fear turned into panic. He screamed for help, but his cries were met with silence. The darkness outside the house was a stark contrast to the pale light that filtered through the boarded-up windows. Jack was alone, trapped, and at the mercy of whatever was inside the house with him.

As night fell, Jack heard a faint whisper. It was so low that he wasn't sure if he had heard it at all. But then he heard it again, this time louder. It was a woman's voice, and it seemed to be coming from the shadows. Jack tried to move, but his legs wouldn't obey him. He was rooted to the spot, his heart racing with fear.

The voice grew louder, and now it was accompanied by a cold breath on his neck. He could feel something behind him, but he couldn't see it. Suddenly, a hand reached out from the shadows and grabbed his shoulder. Jack screamed and tried to fight, but the grip was too strong.

As Jack struggled to break free, he heard the sound of footsteps approaching him. The hand released him, and Jack turned to face his attacker. But what he saw made him wish he hadn't. Standing before him was a woman, with long hair and a ghostly face. Her eyes were empty, and her lips were twisted into a sinister smile.

She started to speak, but Jack couldn't understand what she was saying. Her voice was like a distant echo, and it sent shivers down his spine. Suddenly, she vanished, leaving Jack alone in the darkness.

Hours turned into days, and Jack's fear turned into madness. He had no food or water, and he was convinced that the woman was still in the house with him, lurking in the shadows. He heard strange noises at night, and sometimes he felt a cold breath on his neck.

As he lay on the floor, weak and helpless, he knew that he was going to die. He could feel the presence of the woman growing stronger, and he knew that she was going to take him with her when she left. The darkness closed in around him, and the last thing he saw was the ghostly figure of the woman standing before him, her cold eyes fixed on his.

The house at the end of the street remained abandoned for years, and the locals whispered about the ghostly woman who haunted it. No one ever dared to enter it again, and it remained
