The old mansion stood atop the hill, looming over the small town like a dark cloud. Nobody knew who owned it, but it had been abandoned for years. Many locals believed that it was cursed and that terrible things had happened inside. The bravest souls would venture up the hill, hoping to catch a glimpse of the mysterious mansion, but most would turn back once they reached the front gate.

One night, a group of teenagers decided to explore the mansion. They had heard all the stories about the curse, but they didn't believe in such things. They were eager to prove their bravery and uncover the secrets of the old mansion.

The group consisted of four friends: Emma, Tom, Sarah, and Jake. They snuck out of their homes after midnight and made their way up the hill. As they approached the front gate, they felt a cold breeze brush against their faces. They shivered and hesitated, but their curiosity got the better of them, and they pushed open the gate.

The mansion was even more eerie up close. It was overgrown with vines and weeds, and the windows were boarded up. The group cautiously made their way inside, using their flashlights to navigate the dark hallways.

The interior of the mansion was musty and cold. The wallpaper was peeling, and cobwebs hung from the ceiling. The group split up to explore the different rooms, but soon they heard strange noises. At first, they thought it was just the wind, but the noises grew louder and more sinister.

The group reassembled in the main hallway, and that's when they saw it: a figure standing at the end of the corridor. It was tall and shadowy, with long arms and legs. The figure started to move towards them, and the group screamed and ran in different directions.

Emma found herself in a small room with a single window. She tried to push it open, but it was stuck. She turned around, and that's when she saw the figure standing in the doorway. It was closer now, and she could see its face: it was distorted and twisted, with glowing red eyes.

Emma screamed and pounded on the window, but it wouldn't budge. The figure was getting closer and closer, and she could feel its breath on her neck. Just when she thought it was all over, the window suddenly gave way, and she fell out of the mansion and tumbled down the hill.

When Emma woke up, she was lying in the grass at the bottom of the hill. She looked up and saw the old mansion, still looming over the town. She had no idea how she got there or what had happened to her friends.

Emma tried to get up, but she realized that her leg was broken. She screamed for help, but nobody came. She was alone, trapped in the darkness with whatever lurked inside the cursed mansion.

Days turned into weeks, and Emma was still stranded at the bottom of the hill. She survived on rainwater and the occasional insect, but she was growing weaker by the day. The mansion taunted her from above, a constant reminder of the horror she had experienced.

One night, Emma heard footsteps approaching. She looked up and saw the figure from the mansion standing at the top of the hill. It was holding something in its hand, something that glinted in the moonlight.

The figure started to descend the hill, and Emma knew that it was coming for her. She tried to crawl away, but her broken leg held her back. The figure loomed over her, and she saw that it was holding a knife.

Emma closed her eyes and waited for the worst, but when she opened them again, the figure was gone. She looked up and saw the old mansion, still standing there, silent and foreboding. Emma didn't know what had happened, but she knew that she had to get out of there. She tried to crawl up the hill, but her broken leg made it impossible. She was trapped, alone, and helpless.

Days passed, and Emma's situation became more and more desperate. She knew that she wouldn't survive much longer without food or water. She closed her eyes and prayed for a miracle.

Suddenly, she heard a sound in the distance. It was a faint humming noise, growing louder and louder. Emma strained her ears, trying to identify the source of the sound. And then, she saw it: a helicopter flying towards her, hovering just above the hill.

The rescue team had finally found her, thanks to a tip from a concerned neighbor. They airlifted her to the hospital, where she was treated for her injuries. Emma never forgot the horror of the cursed mansion and the figure that haunted it. She never went near the mansion again, and she warned everyone she knew to stay away from it.

Years later, Emma returned to the town to visit her family. She passed by the old mansion, and she saw that it had been torn down. In its place stood a new building, a community center for the town. Emma smiled, grateful that the cursed mansion was gone forever.

But as she walked away, she heard a faint whisper on the wind, a whisper that sounded like the voice of the figure from the mansion. And Emma knew that even though the mansion was gone, the horror would always linger in her memory.
