As the sun set on the bustling city, the neon lights of the shopping mall flickered to life. The mall was one of the most popular in the area, attracting shoppers from all over the city. However, something eerie seemed to be lurking in the air tonight.

As the employees began to close up for the night, they couldn't help but feel uneasy. There were strange whispers coming from the empty stores, and shadows seemed to dart across the walls. However, they brushed it off as their imagination running wild and continued with their closing duties.

It wasn't until they were all gathered near the exit, waiting for the last of the shoppers to leave, that they noticed something odd. The elevator, which was usually a reliable mode of transportation for shoppers, was behaving strangely. The doors kept opening and closing on their own, and the button to call it down seemed to be stuck.

One of the employees, a young girl named Sara, approached the elevator to investigate. As she got closer, she could feel a chill running down her spine. Then, from the depths of the fog, a figure appeared. It was a woman, dressed in old-fashioned clothes, with long, flowing hair. Her eyes were black as coal, and her skin was as white as snow. The employees stood frozen in fear as the woman began to float towards them, her arms outstretched.

Suddenly, the woman let out a blood-curdling scream that echoed through the mall. The employees covered their ears in horror, but the sound was too much to bear. Then, just as suddenly as she appeared, the woman disappeared, leaving only the fog in her wake.

The employees quickly scrambled out of the mall, locking the doors behind them. They knew they had to call the authorities, but they also knew that no one would believe them. Who would believe that a ghost was haunting their mall?
