Experience: I Once Tried Talking to a Demon
When I was at my most vulnerable, I chose to speak with a demon — and this is what I encountered.

First of all, I should explain that I have always been a fan of horror. The novels I read and the movies I watch have almost always been horror, dark fantasy, detective stories, mysteries, and things along those lines. I think I’m addicted to uncertainty and trying to predict what is going to happen next—the excitement of not knowing when a ghost will suddenly appear, wondering who the killer is, or what motivated or inspired them to kill.
But this time, I want to tell you about something that actually happened to me. Even I still don’t know why I decided to try something like this.
It happened around the middle of 2025, but I still remember those events clearly.
At the time, I had recently transferred to a new workplace, but I found myself disliked by a certain group of people. Maybe it was because I brought work experience from another place with me, and the company gave me a salary roughly comparable to people who had been there for several years—which I had no idea how they even knew about.
My position wasn’t particularly high-ranking, but whenever there was a problem with the work, they had to listen to me. Perhaps that made them feel like they were being ordered around by someone much younger who had only recently joined the company, even though I had experience from elsewhere.
There were times when I was bullied. My department manager did her best to protect me, but inside, I was extremely vulnerable during that period.
At the time, I finally understood why some characters in novels and movies choose to make deals with demons after going through terrible things and becoming mentally vulnerable.
I admit that I was in a very bad place emotionally back then. Even though I was being protected, I was still fragile. I often cried alone without letting anyone know.
Then one night, I thought .about horror novels, and I decided to try something.
Yes. I wanted to try talking to a demon.
At the time, I didn’t know why I wanted to do it. Maybe, deep down, I felt like there was no one who could really help me.
All I had was a black piece of paper with a pentagram on it. In my room, I also had a scented candle and some dried flowers that I used to make the room smell nice.
I placed the pentagram paper on the desk where I usually wrote and read. I put a green scented candle in the center, placed a stone bracelet around it, and scattered dried flowers around the items.
That was all I used.
I wasn’t even brave enough to turn off the lights. I simply took a deep breath and began calling out to the demon.
But I’m not going to tell you exactly how I called out to the demon, and I don’t recommend that anyone try it either. What happened afterward was rather mysterious, frightening, and unpredictable, just like something out of a movie. I only want to tell you about what I experienced.
But I can tell you this: the demon I called out to was... Lucifer, the fallen former archangel.
Nothing happened that night.
I simply blew out the candle and put the pentagram paper back into my bookshelf.
But things started happening two or three days later.
I began waking up in the middle of the night, usually around 2 or 3 a.m. I would wake up on my own, with no noise disturbing me, and feel cold for no apparent reason. The weather was hot. I didn’t have a fever, yet I felt cold.
This happened for several nights.
Some nights, I would wake up and go outside onto the balcony behind my room to get some fresh air. I would see a large bat flying around near my room, even though I lived in a big city surrounded by buildings, with hardly any forest around.
I tried to convince myself that it was probably just out hunting for insects or eating fruit from the trees nearby. Then I would go back to sleep.
But I kept seeing it on multiple nights.
One morning, on a day off, I heard a crow.
I woke up and discovered that I had not closed the back door of my room, even though I closed it every night. And honestly, I wasn’t even sure whether I had really forgotten to close it that day.
There was a crow perched on the edge of the balcony, calling out.
When I got up to look, it flew away.
To be honest, I had never even seen a crow flying around in the city where I lived. There were pigeons and a few local birds, but that was about it.
After that, I admit there were some days when I talked to Lucifer in the same way. But I never asked to make a pact with him.
I did, however, ask whether the little things that had been happening were because of him.
Nothing ever happened during those conversations like it does in movies. I didn’t get goosebumps. There were no jump scares or sudden gusts of wind.
It was simply like talking to someone and then ending the conversation.
But the things I mentioned earlier kept happening again and again.
I continued waking up around 2 or 3 a.m. I continued feeling cold for no apparent reason. Large bats kept flying close to where I lived. I kept hearing crows, and I even once saw a crow following me all the way to work, walking along the rooftops and window ledges.
There was another thing I noticed.
The people who had bullied me started making mistakes at work much more often. The company’s GM was extremely unhappy with them, and their department manager came under heavy scrutiny. She was even reprimanded for not taking good care of her subordinates.
I simply listened whenever I heard about it. I didn’t give my opinion. I stayed quiet.
I didn’t bully them back. I didn’t get revenge. I just acted as if I hadn’t seen anything.
But deep down, I couldn’t help wondering whether the things that were happening—the waking in the middle of the night, the feeling that animals were watching me, and even what was happening at work—were connected somehow.
Were they making those mistakes themselves? Or was something causing them to make mistakes that made the GM so angry?
I admit that, secretly, I was somewhat pleased by what happened. Because it meant they no longer had time to talk, gossip, or bully me.
One day, during a break, I finished lunch and went back to sit at my desk and play on my phone. I was alone in the room.
Then, all of a sudden, I felt cold for no reason.
The power in the room dipped. The lights flickered.
And instinctively, I became frightened.
The computers in the room were fine. Only my computer shut down.
The electricity returned to normal, but my computer remained off.
When my manager came in, she asked why my computer had shut down.
So I lied and told her that I had dropped my phone, and when I reached down to pick it up, my hand had hit the plug.
Then I turned the computer back on and continued working as usual.
The actual event was frightening. It felt completely unpredictable. I had no idea what I was going to encounter or when.
I felt as though something was slowly creeping closer to me, little by little, while watching me the entire time.
But the thing that finally made me decide to stop everything was when I started dreaming about a black crow perched on the edge of my balcony.
Its beak didn’t move, but I could hear a voice as if it were speaking to me:
“Why don’t we make a proper pact?”
I woke up in the middle of the night at the same time as before.
I felt an eerie chill.
That was when I stopped being confused about whether I had been imagining everything or whether I had actually encountered something real.
I contacted a Christian friend of mine.
She wasn’t extremely strict or devout, but she was a Christian and attended church. She only went once or twice a month, but she always participated in important religious occasions.
I told her everything.
Of course, she scolded me.
I tried to defend myself by saying that I hadn’t known what I was doing at the time and that I had been vulnerable. I felt like there was no one who could help me.
But even though she scolded me, she eventually took me to church to confess my sins.
The priest took me through the sacrament of confession, had me renounce and cut ties with darkness and demons, and gave me a prayer rosary. He told me that from then on, I should return to praying to God and Saint Michael instead.
After that, I followed the priest’s instructions.
I never opened the back door of my room again.
Whenever I woke up in the middle of the night and had trouble breathing, I would open the back door because I thought I would get some fresh air for a moment and then go back to sleep.
But whenever I saw a bat flying past my room, I would say, “No, no, no,” close the back door, think of Saint Michael, and go back to sleep.
Whenever I heard a crow, I started ignoring it, acting as though I hadn’t seen or heard anything at all.
I’m not sure how long it took before everything returned to normal.
But I know that I stopped waking up in the middle of the night.
I stopped feeling cold unless the weather was actually cold.
I stopped seeing large bats flying past.
I stopped hearing or seeing crows.
I stopped having strange dreams.
Instead, I only saw ordinary birds where they normally belonged, such as the pigeons I saw every day.
Looking back on it now, I have to admit that I was being incredibly thoughtless and had completely lost perspective at the time.
I feel stupid for not backing away when I saw that the people who had bullied me were no longer bullying me because they were caught up in other problems.
I felt as though I had been helped, even if that help had come from the hands of a demon.
But it wasn’t a real solution.
It was unpredictable, just like in the movies.
It doesn’t come and warn you beforehand about what you are going to encounter or when it will happen. There is no introduction telling you that something is about to begin.
It comes quietly, gradually, little by little.
And because of that, when you tell other people about what happened, there is a good chance they will tell you that you imagined it, that you watch too many movies, or that you were simply too stressed.
You end up confused about whether you are actually experiencing something real or simply imagining it.
So let this stupid decision happen to me and only me. Read my experience, but do not try it yourself.
Consider this a story for entertainment only.
Don’t try it.
It can be dangerous for your mental well-being, and there is absolutely no way to predict whether you might encounter something strange.
That said...
Has anyone else ever had an experience like this?
I’d actually like to read about it.
