Sirens awoke the sleeping city of Dustian. Rubber wheels powered through the friction of the street as it sped through the city. Damien and his team were determined to save the family of four from their burning apartment. The common red, big fire truck dashed past all the red lights and every speed limit. Tired pedestrians had their bags packed, even miles away from the scene just worrying if the fire would spread. Black smoke submerged from the fourth floor and third window to the right. Cries of help could be heard from the desperate family. Everyone in the building had already evacuated themselves into the courtyard garden. Damion parked the truck in its designated red painted spot on the curb and signaled his team to go. Five firefighters ran inside to help the distressed family. The rest of the thirteen man team prepared the powerful hose and the electronic lift. Ethan counted down with three of his fingers. Once they were all lowered, Ethan cranked the lever and the ultra large house sprayed water to the fourth floor and third window. The crew was relieved to see every member of the threatened family come out of the apartment entrance in the hands of the safe firemen. The mother looked to be crying, the father just as concerned while their two young kids were clueless of their near death.

Days after, Ellen, a greatly known investigator, flew from France to study the rare scene. The local investigators came to the conclusion that this almost fatal fire was intentional. She arrived in a black limousine and was escorted by her two frightening bodyguards. The police greeted her with a quick ‘Hello’ and showed her to the scene. Ellen climbed the four floors of stairs and took a short walk to find the imposturous burnt door. Ellen scanned the door knob for any unusual traces before she walked in. A local detective opened the door for Ellen. She wasn't shocked to see that the whole place was burnt. The sofa was torn and coated in black while the dining room table was burnt in half, but nothing compared to the wall's condition. Black holes allowed peeks at the frame of the apartment and paint was replaced with an ugly black color. Ellen could only feel sorry for the owners. Ellen scanned the room for potential fire sources, double checking the local investigators. She traced her finger across the kitchen counter, picking up ashes and dust. Even the food in the open pantry was disintegrated and ruined. Ellen moved on to the living room. The t.v seemed to be in alright condition, although the cables were ruined.

After visiting the bedrooms and bathrooms, Ellen came to the conclusion that the local detectives did their job, and the fire was not an accident. Someone burned this apartment down, and Ellen wanted to know why. There were three bedrooms and one bathroom in the home, all facing each other. Ellen faced the first bedroom door. A cool blue sign hung from the white door that read ‘Jacob’, the couple's son's name. She opened the door and saw a normal three year old boy's room. His crib was placed in the corner of the room with extra height extensions in case he ever climbed out. Burnt toys were scattered everywhere across the carpet. His changing table was tipped over, but diapers, wipes, and a comfy mat laid close. Ellen observed the windows for fingerprints and suspicious cracks. She exited the baby boy's room and entered the bathroom. Nothing stood out, except for the remains of burnt toilet paper and the running faucet. Ellen turned it off, wanting a quiet environment to be able to think.

Ellen faced the five year old girl's room. Her door was decorated with butterflies and rainbows in the near background. She creaked open the door and was blinded by bright pink walls. Unicorns and fairies surrounded the room like any other young girl. Like Jacob's room, this girl's room was full of burnt toys and books. In the corner of the room, a brown box stood motionless. In sharpie, the word ‘DO NOT OPEN’ was spelled out in bold letters. On the other side of the box ‘Eryn” was writing. Unlike anything in this house, the box was untouched by fire. Ellen inched toward it. The top was creaked open so someone in the house had disobeyed the rules. Ellen fully opened the box and a hideous doll sat up. A box of matches the size of her head was held in her right hand. In her left, an axe was placed in her hand.

“Yo-you made the fire?” Ellen bewilderedly asked. She was too shocked and speechless to form a full sentence.

“Bye bye.” Eryn said. The last sound Ellen ever made was a high pitched scream. Ellen's legs were displayed across the room. The murderous doll only giggled and said “Whoopsie.” Eryn climbed out of her box and crawled across the carpet floor. The local detectives were alarmed and running to help Ellen, but the doll was quick to murder them all. A menacingly smile spread across the doll's face because now, she was after the lucky family that escaped her fire.

Eryn had already killed three people before she escaped the building, and was planning to add four more to her list. Eryn clumsy walked in the shadows of all the tall people around her. To Eryn's surprise, the family of four was extremely easy to spot. They were all sitting across the street at the cafe. Again, Eryn grinned. She walked across the street, nearly avoiding cars. Her axe was strongly gripped in her hand as her targets would become bounty. Worried gasps and screams spread across the café, but the only scream and gasp the family had was when Eryn happily murdered them all.
