A dream is vast and mysterious with an endless limit of what can be imagined and created. A dream is unpredictable with welcomed scenes and/or unaltered horror. The possibilities and the chances of your dreams being between one of these is unknown. For a child a dream can be a lot more potent and affecting than an adult's dream as a child has more imagination and freedom of thought due to having less to focus on. Children have more time and less stress granting them free space in their mind which could or would allow their dreams to be more of a whole movie than just a small scene of it, having a complete dream rather than being unfinished.

Today i will tell you a story about a child who lost his dreams, the ability of thought became the only closest thing to dreaming for him. before the incident which took his sweet escape from reality and adult surroundings. The child; "Lucas", a big dreamer and a lover of his sweet escapes, all his dreams being of nothing but paradise and peace with all the things to make one feel in paradise. Lucas was a lucky child, growing up he never had a single bad dream, always waking up smiling in peace.

He went out to go get the mail and in the mail he saw an advertisement letter with skulls and a goat head, it didn't bother him one bit. He chuckled in interest and went back inside to read it, unaware of what he was reading, there was a sentence in another language. He tried to read it multiple times but still struggling with it, he later gave up.

The day went by slowly as he had nothing to do, all alone on a Friday afternoon. Even in boredom he knew that tonight was going to be an amazing night, as it was “Friday movie night”. Looking forward to seeing his mother and father come home today, he went for a shower and made himself a snack and played his video games to kill some time. playing his game, he noticed the advertisement letter he put away earlier. Still curious to what language it was, he did some searching and saw that the mail had a website link. He searched the link up, loading the screen to a website called: "dreamless". The site contained pictures of islands and seas also saying that "paradise is only a dream and a dream is unpredictable". He continued down the website, looking at all the nice photos and videos of waves, oceans, beaches and islands in the cover of sunlight and blue skies. it was peaceful watching the videos but as he continued scrolling down he noticed a video with the thumbnail of skulls and a goat head, he knew that the video might contain information about the strange language in the pamphlet. He clicked on it and all it had was an audio with words saying the strange sentence that Lucas had struggled to pronounce. Too focused on listening to the audio, Lucas Unintentionally spoke the words with the audio causing him to black out.

Waking up to the sound of a car pulling in, yelling in excitement, knowing it was his fathers car because of the loud engine, he ran out quickly to go hug him. Lucas's father replied "is that my son, i hear!?", in an amused curious tone. “My son!”, Lucas’s. father shouted. “how are you, my boy?”, He asked. Too happy and excited to say anything, Lucas just squeezed his arms around his father tightly, and gently said “don’t leave me alone ever again”. His father replied, “I’m always with you, my son”.

Lucas’s father surprised him with a movie even though Lucas had already known that it was movie night. “It’s a scary one, my boy” Lucas’s father said, “Friday fright night.. MUAHAHAHA” , he teased Lucas in a scary voice. Not scared, Lucas Started laughing with his father maniacally. Lucas’s father chased him inside soon after, Lucas was scared but couldn’t help but laugh while running back into the house.

Both sitting and enjoying their snacks while playing video games, waiting for Lucas’s mother to arrive back from work. They ate the snacks and sipped the sodas that Lucas had already prepared for the night.

As they chilled and waited, Lucas’s father (Brendon) brought up a subject about girls as brendon saw this as a good time to speak about it, men to men. “Psss, Lucas” brendon whispered. “Huh?.., uh yes dad?”, Lucas replied. “Do you have a special girl that you’ve been talking to lately”, Brendan asked. Lucas nervously looked at his father and replied, “I don’t really know... I mean uh.., probably”. Brendon smirked at Lucas and started to laugh. It was a good moment of bonding for a father and his son. A few laughs later, they hear a car drive in towards their garage, blasting loud R and B music. They definitely knew who it was, both of them saying “ITS MOM”... they smiled and went outside to greet her. “MOM” Lucas shouted in excitement, running towards her car to hold her.

Mom smiling and so happy to come home to her family, She’s embracing the moment of seeing her son and husband smiling with true happiness. The feeling was overwhelming for her, to see her family so happy and excited to see her come home is truly the best feeling she can ever receive in life. The feeling of true love

Coming out of her embrace, she screams “ITS FRIDAY NIGHT MOVIE NIGHT!!”, LESSHGO”. They quickly ran inside holding eachother and Lucas’s parents kissing eachother. Smiling all the way in through the front door.

As the night came quick and they relaxed on the living room couches and bed made carpet floor, all cozy and comfortable. Ready to watch the movies that Lucas’s father and mother had brought with them. Lucas’s mother put her movie disc in first, called; “A mothers love”, it was about a mother who lost the feeling of love and affection. Who grew cold with feelings towards her family and needed to find her heart again. The film was sad but interesting, in its purpose and meaning. As they watched the film, they moved closer together, cuddling and keeping eachother warm. Feeling the warmth and love of his parents, Lucas was so comfortable that he fell asleep on his parents lap. Lucas’s parents looked at him and smiled and then they looked at eachother with pure joy and love, sharing a kiss as Lucas smiled in his sleep.

Waking up in his dreams, Lucas saw a shadowy figure under a bright yellow street light. The shadowed figure was crying for help and saying Lucas’s name aloud but softly. Lucas wasn’t afraid as his father and mother taught him to not fear strangers but to be confidant, smart and very careful around them. As the shadowed figure said Lucas’s name more and more, the angrier the tone of his voice tuned. Lucas knew that he should not approach him but the more he stepped back the more darker the street light went. Once the street light was dim the shadow man turned around appearing with a white mask with blood dripping from it's smiling mouth. Lucas ran back, making distance between him and the shadow man. Not realising that the light is growing darker the more he gets further away, he continues running turning his path into nothing but total darkness. He runs until his legs can’t give in to pain and tiredness, dropping to his knees in the middle of darkness with the only sound of his breath panting. Taking a moment to himself, he realises he’s in the middle of nowhere, in pitch black and nowhere to go. Tears start to fall and he whimpers, he knows he’s all alone in this nightmare and that no one is coming to help him. He cries for his mother. He cries out for his father. Starting to lose his mind, he cries and cries till he falls and cuddles himself for comfort. Softly calling for his mother and father, Lucas suddenly stops crying for a moment, listening for a reply. He hears something but it’s faint, footsteps moving closer and closer towards him. Lucas opened his eyes wide open but it was still dark as if his eyes were completely shut, his heart matching the sounds of the steps. He stays quiet, not sure if it’s the shadow man or someone else. The footstep are getting closer and closer towards him, making his heart beat too fast for him to think and too afraid to move, The temptation to ask who or what is near his direction was peak. Frozen in a mix between fear and hope, Lucas didn’t know what to do, with his brain in shock and his heart deciding between fear or relief, he undecidedly stayed still and never made a sound. Letting the sound of footsteps walk right past him, Lucas felt the breath of the mysterious source of the footsteps. Sweat dripping and body shaking, Lucas was never detected, luckily. But Lucas noticed one thing about the source of the footsteps, The smell of it. It had perfume, the same one his mother would always use. Without thinking he whispered “mom” towards darkness and the sound of the moving footsteps had stopped moving for a moment. In the next seconds of silence the sound of something dripping came to ear. Shocked and frozen in fear once again, he knew that he made a big mistake, he knew he should’ve stayed quiet. He realised that the dripping sound was from the blood he saw, dripping from the shadow mans mask. A bright big grin floating in darkness grew, big teeth smiling right at Lucas’s eyes for a moment as he knew where Lucas was. The shadow man stopped smiling becoming invisible with the darkness. Lucas was shaking in fear, panicking, Lucas tried to run but the shadow man had already got his grasp on him, SCREAMING in Lucas’s ear, the strange sentence that Lucas said from before. So terrified that Lucas woke up in the middle of the night SCREAMING, waking up his parents in a frenzy. Relieved but scared, he held his parents tightly with tears falling like raindrops. his parents were very shocked and scared to see their son like This. Lucas’s parents calmed him down Before he could tell them anything about what happened in his dream and how it felt so real. His parents comforted him and held him tightly saying that it was just a dream and that’s he is safe now. Too relieved to talk, Lucas just cried his heart out for a long time on his parents until he had no more tears left. After being consolidated by his parents, Lucas raised his head to tell his parents how much he loved them and how much he missed them, saying that he never wants to lose them. Lucas’s parents told him that they will always be there for him and they are never going to leave him. Reassured, Lucas wiped away his tears and smiled at them saying “okay” with confidence and relief. Now with Lucas all happy and cheerful again, he insisted on playing his fathers movie. his parents agreed with Brendon saying “are you sure, it’s a scary one”. Lucas replied “I’m not scared of anything after having my crazy dream”. With a smile, Lucas went to change the movie discs and Waited for the movie to load but when the television went black, Lucas froze in fear with all the tears he thought he emptied, falling heavily from his eyes once again. In the televisions reflection, he saw his parents wearing the shadow mans mask looking right at him and then the shadow mans face appearing in the tv, staring Lucas dead in his eyes through the television, laughing. Lucas didn’t move a muscle, his thoughts filled with nothing but fear and his heart beating like a drum. Hoping that his parents would help him or wake him up but after a while, nothing happened. Deep down, Lucas could feel this was real, consumed by fear, he tried to scream but before he could even try. The shadow Man reached and grabbed Lucas’s face, silencing him before he could, and then pulled him into the television ending the night with nothing but his demonic laughter
