The Pool Rooms: Level 37
  • Welcome, wanderer. Once more, you've no-clipped straight through reality and are deep inside the perilous backroom world. Today's adventures take you to level 37, also known as the Poolrooms. All things considered, there are a lot worse things you could have done than to end up here.
            • This level has what appears to be an endless series of connected rooms with white tile flooring that is reminiscent of the flooring found in many public swimming pools. The first explorers gave level 37 the nickname "the Pool Rooms" due to the fact that it is also completely covered in what seems like an endless supply of lukewarm, aquamarine water. This location's architecture ranges from enormous, spacious rooms to long, straight hallways.
            • Even more rooms that resemble swimming pools can be reached via stairs that go up and down. This is a neat freak's dream come true because, while the architecture varies, the floor plan is always spotless and organized. The poolrooms are also completely submerged to varying depths in clear, aquamarine water. Whatever the true intent of this odd location, it is obvious that it is not intended to resemble an actual pool—in fact; the architecture would not make sense if the location were intended to be a pool.
          • It's common to encounter pillars that rise up into the white-tiled ceiling above you in seemingly random locations, making it unlikely that they are actually providing any kind of structural support. It's not the building's architecture that keeps the roof over your head from collapsing. Often there are no ledges where one would expect them to be so that people could climb in and out of the sizable pools of deep water, which gives the impression that humans were not considered when designing the deep pools one can come across.
        • Lighting itself resembles one of the early versions of the Unreal Engine, frequently shining out at odd angles that make no sense. Additionally, light sources don't appear to be present. Simply put, light is many areas of the poolrooms are dark due to the disorganized lighting system. It appears as though stairs lead down into the murky depths of the water, which, despite being clear, can be dark because of the extreme depth or the erratic lighting.
      • Given that stairs would be unnecessary if they only led to deep pools of water, this suggests that these levels weren't always flooded. On the other hand, you occasionally run into deep tunnels that plunge straight down into unknown depths. It is strongly advised that you avoid attempting to explore these areas without the necessary gear and extensive training, much like when cave diving. Because the terrain has never been accurately mapped out, it is impossible to know what lurks below.
    • Nobody is going to rescue you or refuel your oxygen tank if you get lost in a twisting, watery maze. But there are also other mysteries in the water. Throughout the poolrooms, the water is always a very pleasant lukewarm temperature. Even the deepest shaft of water, which should get rapidly chillier and chillier, remains lukewarm all the way to its mysterious depths. Water temperature seems to be completely unaffected by location, lighting, or even depth. A high concentration of Epsom salt, or magnesium sulfate, was also found in the water, according to chemical analysis performed by field teams.
    • On this side of the backrooms, you might use the same kind of pain-relieving muscle relaxant to take a bath to relieve headaches and sore muscles. However, the water in the poolrooms is more calming than usual because it contains additional, unidentified compounds that are thought to increase the water's calming effects.
  • However, one might unintentionally find themselves there if they randomly wander down the poolrooms' lengthy hallways. Entering one of the Level 4242 shower buildings. This level is like a maze. It is a moderate risk for explorers and has a mess of tiled hallways and public restrooms. Finally, entering submerged areas in levels 67 and 132 can lead to level 37, just like doing so. Level 37's submerged areas can also be accessed to return to both levels.
