Cursed Cabin Horror

A Horror Short Story

By Prashant ShekharPublished about a year ago 3 min read

Once upon a time, in a small town nestled in the heart of the woods, there lived a young girl named Sarah. She was an only child, and her parents had always been overprotective of her, never letting her wander too far from home. But Sarah was a curious girl, and she often found herself sneaking out to explore the dense forest that surrounded her home.

One day, while exploring deep in the woods, Sarah stumbled upon an old, dilapidated cabin. It was clear that no one had lived there in years, but something about the cabin called to her. She couldn’t explain it, but she felt compelled to enter.

As soon as she stepped inside, she knew she had made a mistake. The cabin was dark and musty, and there was an overwhelming sense of dread that hung in the air. But it was too late to turn back now, and Sarah was determined to explore the cabin.

As she made her way through the cabin, she began to notice strange symbols etched into the walls. They were unlike anything she had ever seen before, and they seemed to be leading her deeper into the cabin.

Suddenly, Sarah heard a sound coming from the back of the cabin. She froze, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew she should leave, but something was pulling her forward.

As she made her way to the back of the cabin, she found herself standing in front of a door. The symbols on the walls seemed to be emanating from behind the door, and Sarah knew she had to open it.

As she opened the door, she was met with a sight that she would never forget. Inside the room, there was a large ritual circle, and in the center of the circle stood a figure dressed in a hooded cloak.

The figure turned to face her, and Sarah saw that its face was nothing more than a skull. She let out a scream and tried to run, but her legs wouldn’t move. She was trapped, and the figure began to speak.

“You should not have come here,” it said. “You have disturbed the balance of the forest, and now you must pay the price.”

Sarah was paralyzed with fear, unable to move or speak. The figure stepped forward and reached out its hand. As it touched her, Sarah felt a coldness spread through her body, and she knew that she was going to die.

But just as the figure was about to claim her soul, she woke up. She was in her room, and it was all just a dream. She had never left her house, but the memory of the cabin and the figure stayed with her.

From that day on, Sarah never went back to the woods. She knew that something was out there, waiting for her, and she didn’t want to ever meet it again. But, as the years passed, she could not shake off the feeling of being watched, and the dream haunted her night after night. It was only a matter of time before she realized that the dream was not just a dream, but a warning. One night, Sarah woke up to find that the figure from her dream was standing at the foot of her bed. It reached out its hand and touched her once again, and this time she didn’t wake up. She was trapped in the dream forever, cursed to wander the cabin in the woods for all eternity.

The townspeople searched for her, but they never found her. Some say that if you listen closely, you can still hear her screams coming from the woods on quiet nights. And if you ever come across the cabin, it is best to stay away, or you too may never return.
