Darkness falling

David sat in his dimly lit living room, staring blankly at the empty space in front of him. It had been two years since the accident that took his family away from him. Two years since he lost everything that he held dear to him. And yet, the pain and anger never left him. They consumed him, day and night, until he could think of nothing else but revenge.

The demon that took his family in a satanic ritual gone wrong was still out there, somewhere. David was sure of it. And he would not rest until he found it and made it suffer.

David had never been a religious man. He had been raised in a Christian household, but it never really clicked with him. He had always been more interested in science and the natural world, rather than the supernatural. But after the accident, something inside him changed. He started seeing things differently. He started believing in things that he had never believed in before.

He started diving deep into the occult and satanic beliefs, searching for any knowledge that could help him in his quest for revenge. He started performing rituals, summoning demons and entities, hoping to gather information about the one that took everything from him.

The more he learned, the more he realized how little he knew. The world of the occult and satanic was vast and complex, filled with secrets and knowledge that only a select few could access. David became obsessed with his pursuit of revenge, spending every waking moment reading, researching, and performing dark rituals.

He became more and more isolated from the world, cutting off all ties with his friends and family. His only purpose in life was to find the demon that took his family and make it suffer.

The more he delved into the darkness, the more he found himself changed. He started to see things that were not there, hear voices in his head, and feel a presence around him at all times. Yet, he pushed on, driven by his anger and his desire for revenge.

He started taking risks, performing more dangerous and complex rituals, hoping to gain more knowledge about the demon that took his family. He knew that he was playing with fire, but he didn't care. His need for revenge was too strong to ignore.

As time passed, David's grip on reality started to slip. He started talking to himself, laughing hysterically for no reason, and seeing things that could not possibly be real. But he didn't care. He was too consumed by his goal to even notice.

The demon that took his family had become an obsession. It was all he thought about, day and night. He could hear its voice in his head, taunting him, haunting him, driving him further into madness.

David's search for the demon led him to the depths of the occult and satanic world. He met other like-minded individuals, those who had also been changed by their obsession with the supernatural. They taught him new rituals, gave him new knowledge, and fueled his anger even more.

But as time passed, David started to realize that his quest for revenge might not be as easy as he thought it would be. The demon was powerful, far more powerful than he had ever imagined. It was always one step ahead of him, always out of his reach.

Years went by, and David's obsession with the demon never waned. He aged, he grew weak, but his anger remained strong. He had sacrificed everything for his desire for revenge, and he refused to let it go.

But then, one day, something changed. The demon appeared before him, manifested in front of him, and spoke to him for the first time.

The demon told David the truth. It had never been the one that took his family. It had been a trick, a trap, set by another demon, higher up in the hierarchy of the supernatural world.

The demon had fed David tampered information, giving him hope toward his goal. But all along, it had been watching him suffer, enjoying his desperation and his pain. David had been a pawn in a game he could never win.

David felt his world crumble around him. He had sacrificed everything in his quest for revenge, but it had all been for nothing. The demon had taken everything from him, even his sanity.

He realized, too late, that he had been consumed by his own hatred, driven to madness by his own desire for revenge. He had lost everything he had ever cared about, and for what? It was all for nothing.

The demon laughed, its voice echoing in David's mind. It had won. It had always been in control. David had never had a chance. All he had succeeded in doing was driving himself to insanity.

The demon disappeared, leaving David alone in his dark, empty living room.

David realized that he had been wrong. It was too late to turn back now but he knew that suicide was the only way out of this hopeless situation, he could not face the world without his loved ones and he couldn't live with the knowledge that his desire for revenge left him empty and alone.

David took the kitchen knife and slit his wrists, leaving the demon to watch as he bled out on his living room floor. The demon laughed as David's life flickered away, satisfied with the new addition to its collection of tortured souls.
