Bunny was a very energetic female. She was smart in her own way, but never shying from showing her emotions. Her excitement and love for culture was second to none.

Bunny had just got out of a job interview. She waited until she got to the bus stop away from the building to squeal in excitement over getting the job. She pulled out her phone to text someone but stopped. She hesitated, looking down at her phone. After a few moments, she began to text. Going right back into her cheerful mood, she put on her headphones as she blasted her music.

She began to text back and forth with her friends from college. A man watched her at the bus stop. She got on the bus still texting about how excited she was for the job and seeing them at the next concert. Her friends congratulate her and returned the feelings of excitement. Her mom saw her getting off the bus and waved for her to come closer so they could walk home together.

Finally home, Bunny told her mom about getting the job. Her mom decided to go to the nearby Circus as a celebration. She said sure, but she wanted to shower first. As she showered she found herself thinking about a very painful memory.

Bunny, running out of the theatre with a darker male, with short black wavy hair and black and green eyes. She was laughing at him for never seeing Brave before then. He smiled and shook her off by talking to her about how she has a brother and sister who worked out and fought all the time in school and yet she cries at the site of blood. They poked fun at each other for things the other hadn’t done yet, things the other couldn’t do, something the other has or could, and the like. As she laughs holding his hand, he calls to her.

“Bunny…”

“Yeah?”

“Do you miss me?”

“What?”

“How could you let me die?”

She looked at him confused and saw a skeleton on fire holding her hand. It screamed at her, “How could you betray me?!” She fell out the shower, having an asthma attack. Her mother broke down the door to get to her.

Bunny woke up on her couch as the paramedics were driving away. Her mother walked in and sat with her asking if she was okay. Bunny agreed that she just needs a nap as her mom suggested it. In her sleep she heard a voice.

Hoping that everything will come your way and wanting others who refuse you to disappear. Sensing a darkness within sprung up by guilt and fear? Putting on a mask so no one can see through? Poor you. Your guilty pleasure just not enough anymore. And even if you don’t know what is in store. Your thrill for it all grows even more. If it is bottled for too long it will burst ashore. Enlist communication skills that will help you keep focus. But until you learn to be a better person. Welcome to the Circus.

She woke up at sunset and asked her mother if she was still okay with taking her to the Circus but wanted to go alone. Her mom agreed, still worried, she took the long way. Once there Bunny walked up slowly. She could feel a deathly familiar chill crawling up and through her spine. She tried to ignore it. All she could hear was the music box music coming from the big top. Avery walked out from the big top. Not with his signature smile but with a look of pure hatred and disgust. “You have some nerve, cow.”

“Hi Avery.”

“Don’t address me so familiar, sow. You know what awaits you if you are truly coming here.”

“I do…”

“You truly don’t know. Because even I don’t know what awaits you. I’d pray for you but I don't believe in lies. I believe in Death. And he will find you now that he knows you’re still alive.”

“I…. I’m here to turn myself in.”

Avery’s eye’s flickered red in anger. Only for him to freeze up and bow into the big top. A slight gust of wind rustled from the big top. The gust gathered and wrestled into an isolated twister behind her. The trees almost seemed like they were fearful souls trying to run away as they swayed away but never back. The clouds gathered as if they were hands heading towards the moon.

The wind picked up at a terrifying speed. Whipping through the trees making them give off a bone chilling wail. The current ripping and lashing at the tree and leaves causing the wailing to echo as if souls were being dragged toward that specific spot behind Bunny. Lanterns by the vendors died. Two blood red glowing orbs with light green piercing dots in the center of each appeared as if they were spotlights gazing down at her. The isolated twister expanded until it burst. The wailing turned into cries.

Bunny turned around to see a tall dark skin male with long wavy black hair with white bangs that seemed to form an ‘x’ in his hair. Black tattoos of skulls on his shoulders, a cross on his abs, a diamond on his left peck and a dream catcher on his right. He was wearing a long red and black scarf, black wristbands, and black sweatpants with a white stripe going down them. She looked up at him but before she could get any words out, both their eyes opened wide.

His eyes opened wide as if watching her entire history fade from her. Her eyes opened in fear, disbelief, and instant regret. She looked down to see his elbow entering her chest. She slowly looked back to see her still beating heart in his hand. She looked back at him with tears pouring down, slowly fading to a deep red.

“Ple…”

Without hesitation he cut her off, “No.” As he kicked her off his arm. Her body hit the ground with a heavy thud. He stared at the heart as the music box slowed to a stop. “Disgusting.”
