Fans of #CharlaineHarris' Midnight, Texas book series have been awaiting the arrival of the TV series since NBC picked it up last year. With the premiere set for July 24, NBC released early stills from the set, showing two familiar faces.

The Vampire Diaries hasn't been off the air very long, but Arielle Kebbel — who portrayed Lex Branson — had already left the series, ending her time in the Season 5 episode "Home." Now fans can look forward to seeing her again as she takes on the role of Olivia, who, according to the synopsis for Midnight, Texas, is a mysterious assassin with a weapon for every occasion. Sounds like a fitting role for a former vampire.

Another resident of Midnight, Texas will be Peter Mensah who played Kibwe Akinjide, the Chancellor of the Vampire Authority, in Season 5 of True Blood. Mensah will once again be portraying a creature of the night as Lemuel, a wise vampire with a long history in Midnight.

And unlike their brief time on their respective shows, Kebbel and Mensah will both have starring roles in Midnight, Texas which, according to NBC, is a supernatural thriller where only outsiders fit in:

The town of Midnight sits on a veil between the living and hell. This supernatural thriller takes a journey into a remote Texas town called Midnight where nothing is what it seems. Where being normal is strange and only outsiders fit in, Midnight is a mysterious safe haven for those who are different - a perfect place for anyone looking to hide from the outside world.

With witches, angels, and werewolves joining the #vampires, Midnight, Texas is the place to be at 10:00 p.m. on July 24th!
