This feeling

Like a grip to my spine

I feel it slither

From the inside

His friends spot my vision

Rubbing my eyes

They vanish, maybe floaters

My shoulders tense

I feel it again

Like a hand gripping,

My neck feels tight

Stomach in knots

Multiple fists grabbing my intestines

Like rope

My skin feels like

It wants to peel off my neck

A quick peripheral glance

Nothing.

Huff a sigh

I’m just tired

Shifting my gaze

It flashes past

Head flips right

Nothing. Again.

I leave the office.

I lay down

Room dark enough to see shadows

Perfect

Heat invades the first layer of skin

Ugh..

Expose one foot from the blankets

Much better

Drifting off into a dream

TUG!

My body shifts centimeters downward

Eyes flip open

Nothing.

Who touched me?

Heart slams my rib cage

My foot retreats to safety

Under the blankets

Tap, tap, tap

Above my head

Strange…

There’s a wall there

Frustrated

I just wanna sleep

Tap,tap,tap,tap,tap

Heart beats faster

I twirl under the covers

Facing the wall

Nothing.

Getting up, I leave the room

Quickly

Skin feels like it’s lifting again

Hate this feeling

Hot air brushes my neck

Spin around

Nothing

Am I trippin?

Shut.

That’s a door..

But my doors…

Are always closed

Hairs on end

All over my body

Chest feels like collapsing

I run to the office,

Quick left into the small closet

Sensations like a magnet

pulling me from my neck

intensifies

behind me!

I twirl and shut the door

light peaks into the tiny shutters of the door

there it is

a shadow

right in front of the door

silent

like right before thunder hits

covering my mouth

to muffle my breathing

trying to keep calm

creak…

horror like electric shot

explodes in my chest

I didn’t lock the door…..
