In the year 2057, the world as we knew it had ceased to exist. A series of catastrophic events had ravaged the planet, leaving behind a dystopian society that was barely recognizable from the world that had existed just a few decades prior. The government had become corrupt, and its leaders had seized control of every aspect of society. The population was oppressed, and dissent was brutally crushed.

Ava had been born into this world. She had never known anything different, and as far as she knew, this was just how things were.
