The year was now 3028, and the inevitable had finally occurred. It was the one thing every existing human being beforehand had feared and speculated would ultimately happen. Only now those feared speculations have become reality. Doomsday had finally interrupted the world.

“Wait Mandy, stop!” Rena shouted from the top of her lungs, but it was too late Mandy was already too far ahead to catch. Taking her last little footstep before approaching the door, curious Mandy did not know what was waiting for her on the opposite side. Her raggedy ripped up teddy bear dangling from the left hand, while pushing the heavy mental door with every ounce of strength from her tiny body using the right.

Mandy glanced around with the most horrific startling look on her now pale face. Everything outside was pitch black except for this eye-catching bright light flashing ahead. She could not see anything else around her, so she started to walk toward the light slowly in great fear. As Mandy got closer the mesmerizing light grew brighter causing her to block it with her raggedy teddy bear, she was still cringing on to.

When Mandy finally got up to the bright flashing light it was a beautiful heart-shaped locket tunnel. Her fear lessened because of how astonishing the locket was and she begin to smile. The walk through the tunnel was nearly a mile as the bright light continued to flash but little Mandy was so excited, she did not care where it was leading to. Still not realizing she was alone and had left her family behind worried she approached the end, and it was a dimensional portal. Slowly sticking her right hand through the tunnel, it immediately snatched in her tiny-framed body causing her to drop her favorite teddy bear.

On the other side of the tunnel were things the eyes would never imagine seeing in real life, and what we once knew as the normal world was now the total opposite. Everything in the new world was foggy, reversed and flipped upside down. Only now we were no longer alone as humans. Mandy was terrified and hysterically crying from what she was seeing. She started screaming out for her mommy who was left behind in the world that had now become her past. Nothing was no longer the norm to her after seeing what looked like people with distorted faces. Before Mandy could pull herself together one of the distorted face figures run by and snatched her up. She started to kick and scream giving it all her power to get loose. Her strength was no match for the unidentified figure that was carrying her running through the fog. Right before passing out Mandy murmured, “please don’t hurt me I’m just a little girl.”

Mandy finally woke up puzzled and confused laying in a kid size bed no bigger than the one she remembered from home. She was in a small, compressed room that was cold and had little light flashing through the cracks of the doorway. Immediately Mandy jumped up and started yelling for help. Moments later another child’s voice appeared saying, “there is no one here to help you.” Startled, she frantically turned around and backed into a corner crying. Mandy stated softly, “who’s there?” A child like figure with a distorted face appeared into the little light that was visible from the doorway, no bigger than Mandy’s size. Mandy screamed, “get away from me!” Seconds later, the door opened, a hand reached in grabbed her slamming the door in the other unknown child’s face.

The lights were dimmed, Mandy could not make out who the person was that grabbed her from the room. Still sobbing, she whispered, “where are you taking me? I just want to go home.” No response in return, they continued walking down a hallway until they reached a room with a bright yellow light almost the color of the sun. It reminded Mandy of the light she saw when walking through the heart-shaped locket tunnel. She took a deep breath and tried to brace herself for what would come next.

As they entered the bright light room, Mandy saw a lot of human figures ahead, but their backs were turned to her. All of them had on normal clothing and shoes so Mandy tried to relax. She thought she was being taken to the place where all the other people were being held but when they turned around every single person face was distorted. Mandy started hollering “NO” as the distorted face human figures started to approach her. Some started reaching their hands out to grab her while the others were circling her body smelling her. Not one of them spoke a word. Mandy closed her eyes and took a deep breath, moments later she woke up out her sleep screaming. Her mother, Rena, entered her room. She hugged her tight saying, “Mandy it is okay you were having a bad dream baby.” Mandy said, “no mommy something awfully bad is going to happen to the world. It is going to end tomorrow.” Rena laughed while rubbing Mandy’s little terrified face, but what she did not know is her daughter never told anyone her biggest secret, she could see everything in the future. The world would no longer be the same tomorrow.
