zkSync Airdrop: Check your Activity Score with Nomis!

zkSync activity tracker

We all know that zkSync Airdrop is going to arrive in the near future. Whether it is a matter of weeks or months is a matter of poor speculation. Veteran airdrop hunters are busy finding new ways to boost their activity on the zkSync Mainnet.

There was recently news about controls related to Sybil Prevention to be used in future airdrop to avoid people farming airdrops through bots.

In this post I will be sharing an important update related to Nomis Protocol which has recently launched an app to check your activity score on zkSync and also announcement by Galxe about using Nomis to prevent Sybil users.

How to Check your zkSync Activity Score using Nomis?

Nomis has launched a portal where you can connect your wallet and check your wallet score which covers several factors like how much activity you have done on zkSync, how regular you have been across past months, what volume of activity you have done, when you did your first activity etc.

You can access it through the following link: https://nomis.cc/zksync?ref=0leVVW5vUk

Each wallet is given a score on a scale of 100 which is calculated as per all the parameters linked to the activities. Higher your activity level on zkSync network higher will be your score. At the moment there is no clear guideline given on how this score can be interpreted but the first indication we can already see is that Galxe has announced that their Sybil Prevention credential will require a score higher than 40.

In the link that I shared for Nomis you can see your score for free after connecting your wallet and for minting your scorecard it will cost about $10 in ETH. At the moment the only utility of minting this scorecard is that it makes you eligible for the Galxe campaign but I feel there might be future use cases as well specially on the Galxe ecosystem. The current campaign that needs minting this scorecard as a pre-requisite can be accessed here- https://galxe.com/nomis/campaign/GCq3AUe2or

Is Nomis a Legit Platform?

I only recommend platforms after I do my research and try it out myself.

Having said that I will reiterate that always DYOR research as well before connecting your wallet anywhere.

Nomis is already running for over a year and their collaboration with Galxe adds to their credibility as I have not yet encountered any project that had a collaboration with Galxe and turned out to be scam.

What all will my Nomis Score reveal?

So far there is no formal announcement from zkSync team about relevance of Nomis score to their airdrop but the Nomis dashboard will give you a lot of insights about your activity level on zkSync.

Besides the standard activities like number and volume of transactions it also shows several other factors like wallet age, transactions per month on average and NFTs you hold.

The stat related to wallet age is really interesting as zkSync just did a NFT drop to 10K wallets and it selected wallets stationer with 0x0 which means they selected the oldest users first. It is not clear if this criteria was intentional or a filtering mistake.

The following blog by Nomis gives further breakdown on how they calculate the score using 30 different parameters - https://mirror.xyz/0xnomis.eth/hz5OEq4wjMFgKzGcX7wCOTvPkpvttCGMLVM73da1wbk

They have clearly mentioned that rather than having a very high score on one of the parameters it is more important to have a balanced score with activities across as many parameters as possible.

For example just doing a high number of transactions on a particular day will not improve your score, you should spread them out across weeks and months. Try different kind of activities like swap, DeFi, NFT and within each category different type or transactions like NFT category is split into NFTs held and NFTs traded.

If you have checked your Nomis score do let me know in the comments what are your views about it.

Cheers,

Sam
