Why Dave Chappelle is My Hero!

Living, Laughing, & Learning.

Netflix Comedy Special - Sticks & Stones.

Not a lot of comedians make a comeback quite like Dave.

Even less are able to keep an audience and actually still got the magic that keeps the laughs coming.

Dave Chappelle’s magic is far from gone.

He came out of nowhere from his hiding and did SNL, a handful of Netflix specials and he doesn’t look like a skinny crackhead anymore.

He looks like he could beat the crap out of anyone, which in itself, is hilarious.

Dave didn’t age like a fine wine. He aged like a good show that got canceled right when it was picking up steam, then got started up again with the same exact people 10 years later but now they know what they are doing, and they know how to keep their rating up and growing.

It’s not that he was low tier when he was young, but he was not on the same level of awareness and experience as 2021 Dave is.

He is so refined and chiseled now, physically and metaphorically.

He knows exactly what he wants to say and how to say it. I wish I could talk and work a crowd like he does.

For example, is that young Dave could make you laugh in a slapstick way and clever way, but older Dave can tell you, if a woman is allowed to abort her baby, then a man should be allowed to leave, and he still finds a really great way for both sides to get a good laugh out of it and have the think about what is right and wrong after.

He gets people thinking in a funny way.

It’s pure genius.

It’s something I inspire to be.

A man that can make a crowd laugh and have then think about their next tweet carefully.

I inspire to be a mine who knows what he’s talking about, and a person who has gone through some crap, and know how to share his perspective for the good it can bring to younger people.

Dave is a man that has been taken advantage of by many people and companies, but he has learned from all of it.

Every time he gets on stage now, it’s like he’s a preacher telling of a good ways to live your life and way to look put for the “Devil”.

He tells stories of men who have done him wrong and then stories of him doing the same and every time I listen to his stories, I learn something new and profound.

He talked about a man who was scamming people on the street with his magic card game, and he called him out.

As soon as he did, the man grabbed him by his shirt and told him to never get between a man and his meal.

That day, he learned the perspective of that man had and later in Dave’s life, he was in the same shoes the magician was in.

He learned how cutthroat this word is and how cutthroat one has to be to live in it.

Though when you come across anyone who does treat you like a person who doesn’t know this world will eat you alive, give them that perspective in a way that doesn’t scare them, but gives them what they need to know

Dave needed to learn that lesson and perspective that day, or else he could have went on calling out everyone trying to make money on the street for their next meal. The next thing you know, he could have been sent to the hospital for messing with someone else’s next meal.

Every time I watch on him on stage now adays, I see a man who has wisdom to share in a perfect vessel for the young and prideful…

…comedy.

No young person will listen to an old man just willingly, like a father trying to share his mistakes with his son to keep him from doing the wrongs he has made.

It’s not that Dave’s goal was secretly to share great life advice, but it’s just natural for him to share it at a place he feels comfortable, a stage.

It’s just an amazing thing to be entertained and taught at the same time. We are just a consumer given a bonus for being a loyal customer.

I love Dave Chappelle; I want to be a comedian when I grow up because of him.

I want to share to the world things I have learned so that can live a better life, and I want to make them laugh at the same time.

If you can make someone laugh, what better thing can you do for them?

You can educate them and make them laugh.

Honestly, I think that is the best duo in the world. Better than; Batman & Robin, peanut butter and chocolate, bread and butter.

If you can educate someone while at the same time making them laugh, you just made with world 10x better.

That’s what Dave Chappelle does every time he gets on stage, thanks to the life he has lived and mistakes he has made.

I want to be a man that has lived a life that can make someone laugh and can learn from.

I think I'm on my way.

Thank you, Dave Chappelle.
