Why Bonnie Bennett is the Best

Why Bonnie from Vampire Diaries is awesome

Now, I have watched the Vampire Diaries series through twice. I am now on my third run and there are many three dimensional characters such as Damon, Elena, and Jeremy. I was always vouching for Damon, but after watching the first season again...I always forget that he killed Stefan's best friend, whom he knew for almost 100 years. Stefan should have been far more heartbroken about Lexi's death, but instead it seems he had moved on quite quickly from her death and did not even hold a funeral for her. I know that's probably not how the story went, but he should have done something for her. I used to be a fan of Stefan, but he seems to turn everyone around him into the villain. He is always blaming someone else. Damon will always be one of my favorites because he does not let Elena do whatever she wants, but he genuinely cares for her and will do anything to keep her alive. I was a fan of Caroline, she was a little unsure of herself and found a new self when she gets turned into a vampire and I admired her for that. Bonnie Bennett is such a good person.

She is brave. She is selfless and not afraid to tell her best friend a secret. I like how forward she was with Elena when she told her she was a witch. Bonnie does not like to keep secrets from her friends. That's what real friends are, they are honest with each other. She told Elena straight up that she was not a fan of Damon. There were a few encounters with Damon and Bonnie and she is honest about her feelings about him. Then, of course they bond over the prison world. Bonnie still had reservations about Damon, but then she sees what Elena saw in him. We see Bonnie flourish as a witch over the seasons. At first she could do very little with her magic and then learns to melt vampires minds when she needs to. She was the most loyal friend, she was willing to help out her friends even when it went against the rules of magic. Bonnie always stands up for herself, she does not let anyone tell her what to do or what to say. All of her decisions were hers and no one else's. I always thought that vampires and werewolves were pretty cool until I saw that witches can attack vampires by hurting their minds.

Bonnie never gave up for anyone. She always hears her Grams advice to never give up and it got her through some very tough times. Bonnie is always the voice of reason, she does not jump to conclusions. I think she is very brave especially when she became the cross-over for supernatural that die, she felt every death going through her and she suffered the same pain that they did. Bonnie does not pretend to be anyone else and I feel that the realism that she brings to her personality is relatable to those who are sure of themselves in the teen years. She was always confident in herself and even though she was over using her powers at times, she was always willing to help her friends.

Bonnie Bennett is spunky too, she is not afraid to bet on herself. She knows what her powers are capable of and she is not afraid to show it. A little time with a her grams is all she needed to learn the ways that her magic works. She learns how to defend herself and her friends from all sorts of foes. Kai was one of the most powerful villains she had faced and did not run from the problem, but faced it head on. There is one unfairness to having a witch as a friend without her a lot of the successes that occurred in the show would not have if she was ordinary. Bonnie is often used by others in the show. She found the whereabouts of Elena in season two when she was kidnapped by Rose, She lost her life to save Jeremy's, she got out of the prison world and yet she still had the worst luck of all the characters. Bonnie was bonding with her mother finally and then her mother also became a vampire and it always seems that Bonnie is in the middle of everything when she does not want to.

Bonnie in my books was a real hero, loyal friend and great guardian. She deserved better than what she got.
