What is Wrong with Kalki 2898 AD?

The Indian actor on whom the filmmakers have invested the most money till date, that too with both eyes closed, because just by hearing the name, the theater's houseful name is Prabhas, and the task is to break all the box office records with his next film, which his earlier films had set in Indian cinema.

One thing is confidence, and the other is overconfidence, due to which people do not understand the difference between collection and content. The Now Result film makes amazing money but completely fails to earn respect, and when respect should be given, memories of old movies do not allow it to happen.

If a debate of 500 pages can be done on any actor in Indian cinema, then it would be Prabhas who is having a career like Seesaw because some time back he finally made a strong comeback with Salaar.

So now again, his upcoming film has gotten badly stuck.

When the announcement of the Kali 2898 AD film came, everyone went crazy. The film that has Kalki written in its title is considered to be the most expensive film in India, whose subject is based on the Mahabharata and whose casting includes Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachan, or Kamal Hassan sir.

To be honest, when such a film is just a month away from its release date, then its hype should be all over India.

How can people think about any other film? Now what is happening is exactly the opposite; the hype surrounding the film is almost zero.

Literally no one cares that the release date of the film may change, whereas today everyone is sitting and doing PhDs about a film that will enter theaters after almost 4 months.

From the teaser of the film to its poster, the first look of its actor and the subject, Pushpa 2, is on fire.

For this reason, Pushpa has badly exposed Prabhas's film, Kalki.

Now I understand how to make a pan-India film with a bad marketing strategy.

Despite the almost Rs 600 crore budget that is written online, the hype of the film is limited to the fan base in only one language.

So understand that taking this film to the Indian audience, not just Hindi, Telugu, or Tamil, will be even more impossible for the film team than Tom Cruise: Mission Impossible.

Kalki 2898 AD Release Date Postponed

The first thing that has come to light is that the release date of the film is being postponed again because it was supposed to be released in January 2024.

The film could not be finished, and even today, its shooting is going on, photos keep coming out, and surprising people don't care.

Well, this time it may be postponed due to the election, or the new release date may be May 30th, or next month may be June 2024; this has not been confirmed yet.

Now, big news has also come out, and after hearing it, I thought that social media would burst and only Kalki's name would be heard everywhere, but again, the matter remained pending.

Such a public reaction literally made Kalki 2898 AD the most risky film in India.

If it is not public, then the picture is of no use.

Before the theatrical release of the film, a prelude video is going to be released on Direct OTT, which will introduce the audience to the world of Kalki. It will be a full-detail animated version in which: who are the characters of Kalki, what is the subject of the film, and what is the story about? Everything will be revealed.

The best thing is that the film is definitely animated, but the artist behind it will be real, meaning Prabhas' voice or other actors will be involved in it.

Honestly, it is a very smart move from the makers to involve the public with the film.

If the film is really being postponed in theaters, then this animated video will give the makers a good amount of time to promote the film, but this definitely has nothing to do with the poor marketing strategy of the makers of Kalki with a budget of Rs 600 crores. This will be the least hyped part of the film.

Whatever Director NagArjun has revealed so far looks amazing, especially the behind-the-scenes footage on the concept of the film. He is a genius.

But the problem is that people are not taking an interest. Team Kalki 2989 AD will have to do something special, boss.

Just imagine what would happen if that prelude video came and no one saw it.

People have already declared Pushpa 2 as the biggest film of 2024, and the makers of Kalki 2989 AD did not even compete with it once.

Bad news for Prabhas fans: something will have to be changed.
