Saddle up, boys and girls, because it is time for some swift justice on the plains of #Westworld. We are all due a good telling-off for being just too invested in #HBO's #scifi show. We all love a good snoop in the bowels of Reddit to see what tantalizing info we can unearth on our favorite show until it returns, and Westworld was the same. I fully admit to spending my Monday morning trawling the subreddit for any scraps to tide me over until the next episode.

Now, showrunner #JonathanNolan is clamping down of spoilerhounds ahead of the show's second season, teasing that he has already had to change one big twist thanks to some nosey neighbors on the internet.

Speaking at Paleyfest, the showrunner revealed that Season 2's third episode has already undergone a rewrite, citing:

"Reddit has already figured out the third episode twist. So, we're changing that right now. It's annoying sometimes when people guess the twists and then blog about it, but the engagement is gratifying, on one level, because if someone guesses your twist, it means you've done an adequate job [of structuring the series]."

We don't know whether Nolan is joking or not, but it isn't exactly the most imaginative April Fool's joke. I have done some scouring and even Reddit itself is none the wiser to what he is talking about and chatter around Season 2 has been relatively quiet.

I was hoping for some nugget of information that there is actually a robotic dinosaur park out there somewhere — I mean, what better way to tie into Michael Crichton's other novel Jurassic Park?

You're ruining it for everyone.

Nolan seems to take it all his in stride though, also thanking fans for their avid devotion to the romp around the robo-park:

"You can't complain when people are that engaged. It's very gratifying — but stop doing it, please."

It is certainly a credit to the show, but have we come to expect too much from the minds of Nolan and his wife #LisaJoy?

The big twist that #EdHarris in fact played an older version of #JimmiSimpson's William was clocked early on in the series. As the show continued, diehard Westworlders also figured out that Jeffrey Wright's Bernard was not only a robot, but the ambiguous Arnold as well, and that we were working on a dual timeline theory. When all was said and done, there wasn't really much left to reveal — oh, apart from that shock "death" of Anthony Hopkins in the final scene.

We have created a Catch-22 situation for ourselves, as the majority of the big twists from the show's formative season had been worked out months, let alone, weeks in advance. In a show as twisty and mind-boggling as Westworld, all of the fun is in the chase.

An advanced reveal that [insert name] is actually a robot or that so-and-so wasn't really killed in the finale takes away the puzzle. Would you really sit on a train and work on a completed sudoku puzzle? Who knows what lies in store, but Nolan and Joy promise a few more mysteries when Westworld returns in 2018.
