Up Next for Review

I watch Gilmore Girls with my daughter the whole time she was growing up. It was a heartwarming, clean cut, all American, family drama with a touch of humor. The show was about how Lorelai Gilmore got pregnant at 16 and a year after the baby was born took her daughter and left home. They moved to Stars Hollow, Connecticut were she started out working as a maid for the Independence Inn and moved up to the executive manager. The first season focused on her daughter Rory getting into Chilton a very fancy and expensive private school. To get the money Lorelai had to make a deal with her mother for the money to pay the tuition Friday night meals with both her and Rory. Lorelai comes from a very well off family and she ran from the money and her parents both. It also focused on Rory and how the rich kids treated her because although her grandparents had money she did not and was there for not raise by their standers. Also the show focused on Lorelai and her love life or lack there of. There were many town folk who leaned a hand to the shows story and they all entertained us. By the end of the seventh season Rory has graduated from Yale and is starting a new job. Lorelai owns her own hotel but still has not found love but seems to be happy. People have loved this show so much that there was a made for TV movie call Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Now people want another one.

Now there is a new family in town the Millers.

Georgia Miller and her two children Virginia (Ginny) and Austin have just moved to Wellsbury Massachusetts. Their neighbors are the Bakers: mom Ellen, dad Clint (he is deaf), twins Marcus and Maxine (Max, she is a lesbian). Next up we have Mayor Paul Randolph who takes a shine to widow Miller. He is run for reelection. Then there is Cynthia Fuller, mom, real estate agent and running for mayor. Her son Zach is a bully and is now picking on the newest classmate Austin Miller. Mr. Gitten is AP English teacher of new student Ginny Miller and they do not get along, don't worry neighbor Max has her back and soon Ginny is a member of MANG. Max, Abby, Noah and now Ginny a group of kid who got each other. Hunter Chen would love to have Ginny in his arms and I believe the feeling is mutual. Max has eyes for Sophie Sanchez, and her brother Marcus has his pseudo girlfriend Padma. The many other towns people I am sure will entertain you as well. There are many twist in this series that you would not find in Gilmore Girls and I am sure there are more to come so if you are looking for something family, drama or surprising give it a chance.

Here is the thing back in Gilmore time the world although it had some trouble as it always has was softer and had more time to let let story unfold and was to be honest white bread American. Today the world is not so kind and you only have 10 episodes to prove how good you are so you have to put it all on the line and people want dirt, drama, sex, drugs and scandal. They also want diversity, but also believability, and I think this Ginny & Georgia give that to you. So next time you get bored why not give it a try. If you don't want to take the word of a stranger then you can always look it up on the net but be warned you will get more spoilers then you probably want and were is the fun in that. I was trying not to give away to much, like I say it goes by fast.
