1. YAKITATE!! JAPAN (2004)

Yakitate!! Japan is a manga-based series written & illustrated by Takashi Hashiguchi. Similarly to the popular manga-anime series Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars), this series is about a boy named Kazuma Azuma who wants to create the best national bread of "Ja-pan" in the culinary world to rival France, Germany, and England.

If you love bread, then this series is for you since it is all about bread. Even if you don't love bread and like to watch an entertaining series with weird rivalries, this is for you. With the title that this series has: a pun, it was very over the top, and very cheesy, but enjoyable. Has you laughing at the ridiculousness, sometimes makes you want a big WTF moment.

Kazuma has baking powers, literally flowing through the palm of his hands. What is this so called powers? Solar Hands. Yes, you read it right, Solar Hands, the power to help the dough ferment quicker. An advantage to have when competing, but also kind of cheating?

2. CELLS AT WORK! (2018)

Available on Netflix, Cells At Work is about well...how cells in the human body works. The show takes you to their 'world' a.k.a inside the human body, and how each of the characters communicate to solve the problems that goes in their 'world'. Anyone remembers Osmosis Jones? Similar theme as the movie, Cells At Work characters are anthropomorphized instead actual cells.

The series mainly focuses on two cells: the red blood cell, AE3803 who often gets lost when making her deliveries throughout the body and the white blood cell, U-1146, who is determined to defeat any germs that invades the host's body. But, my favorite character(s): the platelets, I mean just look at them, they are so adorable.

Although Cells At Work! has only one season so far, the story is pretty entertaining, with some comedy scenes here and there. Now, is this show accurate? Personally, I can not give an define answer of a yes or no since I do not have a degree in the field of biology, but in my opinion, I would say some of the general bases are correct.

3. PRINCE OF STRIDE: ALTERNATIVE (2016)

Prince of Stride: Alternative is a series based on otome game (video game targeted more towards women), based on a fictional extreme sport of "stride" a.k.a parkour. The sport is played with 6 people per-team, 5 runners and 1 relationer. The runners through the various obstacles throughout the course, "tagging" each team members in-between the runs, similar to a relay race.

The story starts out with our main characters Nana Sakurai, Riku Yagami, and Takeru Fujiwara at Honan Academy, a school which was known as a top "Stride" team in Japan. The three of them get together to re-establish the "stride" club, recruiting members so they can compete in "End of Summer".

The plot itself is pretty simple to follow, as throughout the journey there were very good character developments. While watching, you can feel the competitive of the matches and sportsmanship of the teams that happens along the way, feel the bond of the characters working together within the team. The way they made the series seems as if you are actually in the race with the members, going for that final end goal.

CONCLUSION

Now, of course there are tons of anime to watch besides these, but these three hopefully will get you to binge watch and have a good laugh. A boy who is obsessed with bread, a show that you wished your biology teacher would show in class, and a extreme sport anime. Go ahead, pick your poison.
