While it may seem like Transformers: The Last Knight failed to garner the appeal that the first installments in the series did, the newest Transformers movie definitely had some highlights, the obvious being the fight sequences. Though, one of the more interesting scenes turned out to be one involving the Dinobots.
The Dinobots who were introduced in Age Of Extinction made brief appearances in the newest installment. They didn't get much as screen-time this time around, but the Dinobots have been busy nonetheless. With their Dinobabies under Yeager's care, it's a good sign that the Dinobots have are keeping busy while off-screen. We saw a few of the babies running around Yeager's trailer, and they're already powerful Autobots in the making. More importantly, there's a distinct possibility that these young Dinobots will make appearances in a future Transformers movie.
Unless, they were merely included for a cute cameo, the baby Dinobots probably have a bigger role to play in the future. Plus, we can't fail to acknowledge how everything in the Transformers universe is connected. So, it's only logical for the baby bots to have expanded roles in the future. And with several potential spinoffs already on the table, one of them likely includes these young bots growing up, alongside Izabella (Isabella Moner).
Since Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) probably won't be seen again, any connection between the baby Dinobots and a future spinoff would likely pivot off of the connection made between Izabella and the Dinos. She's already bonded with them, making it believable for Izabella to be the one who remains in contact with the Dinobots. However, there's a chance that the baby Dinobots' future lies in a space adventure with the Autobots. But until we hear of any development being made on this end, any chance of seeing the baby dinos again is just wishful thinking.
The Bumblebee spinoff opens in theaters on June 8, 2018.
