1. Mrs. Folake Aremu (Orisabunmi)

Mrs. Folake Aremu, often known as Orisabunmi, a veteran Yoruba actress, died on January 5, 2021.

A family source confirmed her death, which sent the theatre business into mourning.

The veteran actress, who was born in Olla, Kwara State, died in Ibadan, Oyo State, at the age of 60.

Her death came four months after her ex-husband, Jimoh Aliu, also known as Aworo, died, under whose mentorship she rose to notoriety in the film industry.

2. Jim Lawson Maduike

Jim Lawson Maduike, a veteran actor, died on January 9, 2021.

After complaining of terrible physical problems, the Imo-born thespian passed away. He began his career in the film industry in 2004 and has since been in a number of films.

3. Ernest Asuzu

Ernest Asuzu, a veteran actor, died on the evening of Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Jennifer Asuzu, who confirmed the tragic incident to The Nation, said he passed out on Tuesday night and never awoke.

4. Sound Sultan

On July 11th, a well-known Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his R&B, Hip-Hop, reggae, and afrobeat died at the age of 44.

He was well-known in Nigeria for using his music to protest poverty, corruption, terrible governance, and other societal problems.

Sound Sultan was an actor who produced and acted in the popular comedy film "Head Gone" in 2014. He had a strong relationship with his sibling Baba Dee.

He also played Rotimi, a lawyer in the hit comedy film "flatmates," which is now airing on DStv.

Prior to his death, it was stated that he was having chemotherapy in the United States after being diagnosed with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma in the throat.

As a result of his sickness, he died.

5. Rachel Oniga

Rachel Oniga, a veteran actress, died on July 30, 2021.

According to family sources, the actress, who began her acting career in 1993 with the film ‘Owo Blow,' died around 10 p.m.

Oniga, a Delta State native, was born on May 23, 1957, in Ebutte-Metta, Lagos. After becoming famous for her role in the Yoruba family drama Owo Blow, she went on to star in films and drama series like as The Wedding Party, 30 Days in Atlanta, Doctor Bello, and Wale Adenuga's Super Story, to name a few.

6. Sir Victor Uwaifo

On August 28, 2021, the great singer, guitarist, musician, and songwriter passed away.

Sir Uwaifo, a professor of Arts at the University of Benin who was well-known for his highlife genre, was awarded the first god disc in Africa (Joromi) in 1965.

In addition to Guitar Boy, Akwete Music, and Arabada, he won seven other gold disks.

Initially, information went viral suggesting that he died as a result of Covid-19, but his family refuted the report, alleging that he died of Pneumonia. At the age of 80, he passed away.

7. Prince Ifeanyi Dike

Prince Ifeanyi Dike, an actor and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), died on August 27th, just a few days after Victor Olaotan, the famous actor from the Tinsel TV series, died.

Dike was hospitalized for several weeks due to a kidney problem.

Before he died, the chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria said that they had been financially dealing with his medical concerns.

8. Bruno Iwuoha

Veteran actor, Bruno Iwuoha, died on Friday April 10, 2021, after a prolonged battle with diabetes.

Bruno Iwuoha hails from Ehime Mbano Local Government Area in Umunumo Umuanunu kindred, Imo state.

He was 68 years and survived by his wife and six children.

9. Sadiq Daba

He was a broadcaster and an actor.

During his lifetime, he earned an Africa movie academy award for best actor for his portrayal as "Inspector Waziri." In addition, he worked for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

He revealed in 2017 that he had been diagnosed with Leukemia and Prostrate Cancer. Several Nigerians have contributed to his fundraising efforts.

To mark World Cancer Day, he joined Project Pink Blue.

Sadiq was announced dead at Ayinke general hospital in Ikeja on March 3rd, which was a sorrowful day.
