1. Jessica Rabbit was the voluptuous cartoon femme fatale of the 1988 feature film Who Framed Roger Rabbit? The popular comedy, a loose-limbed mix of live action and animation, was based loosely on Gary Wolf's 1981 book Who Censored Roger Rabbit? Jessica Rabbit was the absurdly sexy wife of hapless hero Roger Rabbit, and a constant temptation to human detective Eddie Valiant.

Inspired by Jessica Rabbit's screen-stealing glittering dress, Ciate London's Glitter Storm lipstick is the ultimate in look-at-me lips by Ciaté London brand.

2. CatWoman in Batman returns (1992)

Michelle Pfeiffer. The Michelle Pfeiffer/Tim Burton Catwoman was my starting point here. Sadly, my head was too big to fit in the badass mask I got, and the replacement badass mask is likely going to show up tomorrow. Of course. So there’s a little old-school Eartha Kitt Catwoman inspiration for the mask and ears. Not quite as creepy as the full mask, alas, but with its own charm.

Michelle's look in Catwoman the lips with a matte red lipstick but one thing they both have in common are perfect red lips. Its part of the seductress glamourous persona embodied by Catwoman.

For perfect red lips you need a true red lipstick.

Amazing Russian red by MAC but you have to blot it a couple of times for the perfect finish.

MAC Russian Red is a cult favorite for good reason, an excellent matte formula (many level the accusation that MAC mattes are drying, and this can be the case, but it has never been an issue for me with Russian Red) that works on any skin tone. It’s been on MAC’s bestseller list.

There are many reds I love (need a new post on favorite reds, I see), and many I love from MAC (again a topic deserving of its own post), but I return to Russian Red again and again.

3. Betty Boop Created by cartoon animator Max Fleischer, Betty Boop became a cultural icon in the 1930s.

Betty on the other hand was sexually autonomous and outspoken against the old values asserted by her parents and the previous generations.

Although many believe Helen Kane is the inspiration for Betty Boop, the character would not have been possible without 1920s jazz singer Esther Jones, aka Baby Esther.

Nicknamed after her “baby” singing style, Esther performed regularly at the famous Cotton Club in Harlem.

Lipstick Betty Boop by Mac

Lipstick Betty Boop™ Red is a moderately cool-toned, medium-dark red with a satin finish. It is available in limited edition lipstick only Mac store. In the summer 2017 only six weeks on website mac cosmetics.

4. Morticia Addams The stunning and mysterious Morticia Addams was played by the effervescent Anjelica Huston.

Anjelica Huston the Addams family (1991).

But with both Halloween and an election year on the horizon, I’m making a case for why the matriarch of the spookiest family around is the role model we all needed—then, now and into the future. I’m talking, of course, about the creepy, kooky, mysterious and, yes, totally kickass Morticia Addams, played by the fabulous Anjelica Huston in The Addams Family and its sequel, Addams Family Values.

Professional liquid lipstick in pure Red. Nyx cosmetics. Then I topped off the look with a red liquid lipstick from Dirty Little Secret in the shade Phantom.

Nyx Liquid suede creme lipstick, 11 Kitten.

I am digging doing these looks so much that I plan to continue creating some fun and crazy makeup transformations as often as I can. Stay tuned!

5. Tongue Rolling Stones.

The Rolling Stones formed in 1962, and released five studio albums before Hot Lips first appeared. In April 1970, Jon Pasche was a 25-year-old student at the Royal College Of Art, when a call came through looking for a young artist to work on a poster for a forthcoming Rolling Stones tour. Jagger had seen Pasche’s designs at his final degree show that year, and he got the gig. Jagger found the work of one man in particular — 24 year-old John Pasche — intriguing enough to commission him to create some artwork for the next album for a grand total of £50.

Jagger’s inspiration was a newspaper cutting that he’d seen that showed the Indian goddess Kali, with a pointed tongue, hanging down. In Hindu mythology, Kali symbolises death and time, but is also a powerful feminine figure.

In the Christmas 2019 the lipstick rock and roll for best gift is Star Me Up! The Rolling Stones big kiss jumbo lipstick, adorned with Swarovski stones and iconic Stones lips. It's created by #EdwardBess, #Therollingstones Available in the 2019 on Bergdorfs Goodmans the Rolling Stones 'No filter tour pop up'. @SaraHandelman, @Justanidea and @bravadousa.
