Ginny and her friends "Ginny and Georgia" on Netflix

10 years of being a huge fan of tv shows—addicted, I have spent nearly all my entire spare time watching TV. It's not like a 'killing time' for me but it's like 'more experience', that life may not give it to me. I've watched a lot of TV shows of different genres. Actually, I am into good drama and plots that make you go through something in the end.

I like to live in the moment, watch new different shows every day, and recommend them to my friends. I have started to express my passion in different ways, by writing and recommending good high-quality movies and series for more people, even started a youtube channel for this!

Well, a passion still a passion, right!

In the end, I made a list for you, of what the best I have recently watched and imprinted on my soul, that makes me so fascinated to talk about.

P.S. If you are into high school shows, then, this article is 100% especially for you. Stay tuned till the end.

These really are my top 4 'must-watch' (in order), which gave me a heartwarming experience that can't be erased. And I would highly encourage you to binge-watch in (March 2021), and call it a day!

#4 Chemical Hearts

It’s adapted from Krystal Sutherland’s YA novel, “Our Chemical Hearts”.

Henry Page (Austin Abrams), a teenage boy, yearns to be a writer, believes himself a romantic character who’s never experienced, love.

While anticipating to be the editor of the school’s newspaper, he’s got surprised that he will share the editor’s position with Grace (Lili Reinhart, the star actor in ‘Riverdale’), a new transfer student who is physically disabled—walking, a glum face with don’t–talk–to–me attitude, refuses any attempts of Henry to get involved with her.

One day, Henry’s missed his bus that ends up with the two of them walking on the same road. Eventually, after arriving at her house, she softens, out of a sudden, and lends him her car; refuses to drive him herself and permits him to drive.

Ultimately, Grace lets Henry into her life. He’s fallen in love with her despite recognizing that she is a traumatized, broken person with serious issues.

One day, he follows her to find out she has been at a grave of a man.

After this incident, he found out the man from the grave died in a car accident, and Grace was in the car when the accident happened.

The story seems to be told from Henry’s perspective as we can see Grace as an intriguing person, traumatized and troubled, purposely unfriendly; that makes the story ‘a genuinely felt teenage melodrama’.

The story is so heartwarming with a deep meaning that will make you go through a huge thing in the end.

Their chemistry makes sense — it shed the light on teenagers’ hurts, odds, and life; that imprints on their soul.

#3 The Map of Tiny Perfect Things

Mark (Kyle Allen), a high school senior, gets stuck in a time loop, living the same day repeatedly. And because of his awareness of what will happen, he called himself a ‘psychic’.

Repeating the same routine of the day: waking up, panting with his little sister, fighting with his dad (who quitted his job to write a book about the civil war), and play video games with his friend Henry (Jermaine Harris).

At the community pool, while he keeps his attempts every day to flirt with a girl, he meets Margaret (Kathryn Newton), who seems to be stuck with him in the same time loop, which made him intrigued, curious about her; how she spends her time in this time-loop thing, and whether she has found new things in town, he hasn’t figured out, yet.

They've started to spend their time together and talk about their life; he told her about his dad, and she told him about her dream to work as a mission specialist for NASA. They have decided to find moments that look perfect in the city, as a trying to escape this time loop.

One day, Mark made a map of the tiny perfect things they had together. Then, he suggested ending what he called a “temporal anomaly” to get back to normal life; thinking that they should go far away.

After buying tickets, Margaret sent him a message that she can’t do it. And the next day, Mark wakes up in his bed, and the time loop hasn't ended.

That made mark realize that the time loop thing isn’t about him, it’s about Margaret who didn’t want this to end.

Time-Loop movies have something ironic about them

It’s a sci-fi story but more focused on the emotional parts rather than the scientific part with charming chemistry between the two actors.

If time loop is your thing, then you definitely should give this a shot!

#2 To All the Boys: Always and Forever

After “To All The Boys: I’ve Loved Before” and “To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You”, the story of Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) is about to end.

Now, in their last year of high school—Lara Jean and Petter are about to encounter a new challenge to their relationship.

Lara Jean has been so delighted to attend school with her boyfriend—Peter, who was early accepted for a sports scholarship for lacrosse.

When acceptance letters arrived, Lara Gean finds — she has been dismissed from the university that she had always dreamed of.

She has given up hope to attend college after being wait-listed to The University of North Carolina at Chapter Hill (UNC). Then, unpredictably, she’s got accepted.

After going to watch the campus of ‘UNC’ and the view, she has fallen in love with New York and has set her mind to attend school in New York far from home.

After hearing the good news, everyone was glad for Lara Jean, except Peter, who has realized that they will be separated and far from each other.

she’s about to learn one of life’s tougher lessons: “The winds do not blow as the vessels wish”.

This will leave them to face the last chapter in their story of choosing between their love lives and their future.

I admire this movie series — I watched every chapter twice as it’s beautiful, funny, and engaged; a relationship that turns out from fake to be real is my type.

I confirm this to be a ‘must–watch’.

#1 Normal People

Normal People’ is about two people who are bonded together by sharing a past that can’t be shared with anyone else. It is a TV Mini-Series (2020), 12 episodes, based on Sally Rooney’s 2018 novel, (Hulu original in association with BBC).

Far away from what we’ve repeatedly seen before in high school, tv shows—popularity stuck to wealth.

‘Normal People’ shows us a crosswise dynamic, that you might have seen before but never have been told like this.

In Europe, Ireland. During high school, Marianne Sheridan (Daisy Edgar-Jones) — whose family owns multiple mansions on hills, in Ireland and elsewhere — a smart and prickly–tongued opinionated student, full of herself, makes her peers mock her continuously, out of jealousy; calling her ugly (while she is not).

Among these peers, Connell Waldren (Paul Mescal), a smart, popular, and successful-liked football player who neither insults Marianne nor stands up for her. You can tell from his looks that he is the nice guy in his squad, who is constantly embarrassed by his friends’ acts but never tells.

Connell’s mother—Lorraine (Sarah Greene) is the housekeeper of Marianne’s house, which leads the both of them to interact outside the school and like each other. Then, they turn into secret lovers, for Connell’s sake, as he was anxious about being ridiculed by his friends.

(even though other aspects make it difficult for them to reveal their feelings publicity).

‘Normal People’ will go beyond — first love erases after high school in Sligo, and will take you farther to college in Dublin — With an unpredicted upside-down turning in characters that will make you adore them more.

You will experience with them the ups and downs of their epic story.

“Everyone’s first love is like an epic story; that is cruel sometimes and other times heartwarming with an honest feeling that is undeniable.”

this series endures how first love affects us, and how it leaves a permanent mark that can shape one’s sense of identity well into adulthood.

The chemistry between the two actors is exceptional, you will feel with them the insecurities of their relationship.

At the end of the day, you will feel embraced. This spectacular love story will make you get swept up in it. I binged the entire series on a single day that I wished it never ends.
