10. Heels- This show was so engaging. As someone who was a major fan of professional wrestling and has lost touch with it, this show brought back that passion. It's the monopoly on the industry that really set it back and this show addresses that. The stardom vs the home grown arenas and local wrestling leagues. The fall out for those who had a career and wasted it. This show tackles all of that and familial drama at its core. It's very well written and acted. So happy it will have even more time to flesh out the story in a second season.

9. Made for Love- The tech billionaire aspect was very satirical social commentary. This show works well because of the actors and writing. It isn't afraid to be off the wall and wacky. It's both dramatic and very comedic. It plays well on finding your true self instead of creating this artificial world to live in. Can we truly find happiness in our own weird ways or will we always fall victim to changing ourselves to fit a mold created by others? That's the big question this show dares pose and it truly is one worth thinking about.

8. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier- Sam Wilson deserves the mantle of Captain America and I am glad this series addressed the many reasons why this was necessary moving forward. It had a different tone and felt more realistic than previous entries in the MCU. It was more grounded with the story telling and how we have sins of the past that we must deal with. Bucky and Sam's bro-mance was the highlight of the series and to see Sam in his personal life allowed us to understand why the decision was so hard for him.

7. Sweet Tooth- Gus was the coolest character in 2021. That's just facts. The show itself dealt with something we are all dealing with right now. Sickness and the ever changing landscape of society. It was a solid build up which should lead to even more thrilling second season as the plot threads begin to be resolved. It was the early scenes with Gus and his Pubba that really hooked you on this series. The devastation and then curiosity of Gus is the heart of the series and it was a very good show to binge and get emotional with.

6. Loki- While it was a fantastic conclusion, Loki felt like a bit of a slow burner. It felt like there wasn't enough material there to make it as long as it was. When it shines it is truly magnificent. It's just perhaps with Marvel they deliver such small seasons that you want every moment to be a big moment and Loki didn't seem to have that until the final few episodes of the season. Now the final episode is one of the best episodes of television this year but it just missed the mark on overall pacing.

5. Superman and Lois- Tyler Hoechlin has positioned himself as my favorite iteration of Superman. He's likable, he's charming. He's humanized in every way. Now that's not me saying every other version is bad it's just that Tyler's version has the added aspect of being a family man. His dynamic with Bitsie Tulloch, Jordan Elsass and Alex Garfin is what truly makes the show special. He's likable with everyone else too but he really stands out in moments of vulnerability with Lois and the boys. It's a very good take on the character.

4. Hawkeye- Jeremy Renner deserves this show. It's a refreshing take for the MCU to come hard with the more street level approach to his story. Add in Hailee Steinfeld as Kate and that definitely adds another layer of fun and complexity. Hawkeye is being used to transition into a whole other world of stories within the MCU and it is honestly one they have waited too long to dive back into. We got glimpses with Ronin in Avengers but the TV format is definitely allowing for further character development and its a big help for Hawkeye.

3. The White Lotus- This show is so off the wall but also very realistic in a way. It's a look at the inner workings of couples with marital issues, unresolved traumatic experiences and struggles with their kids growing up and developing their own personalities. The stand out is Murray Bartlett as the hotel manager Armand. Armand and his story is not what you were expecting but the entirety of it makes sense. It was stylized in the way that you knew it wasn't ending well for someone and the build up just continued to intensify with interpersonal drama for all the guests staying at The White Lotus. It's definitely an ensemble effort with a few stand outs and I love the idea of this being an Anthology series.

2. Invincible- For the longest time it seemed like this show was poised to take the number one spot. Any other year and it may have. It's full of character development and an Uber talented voice lead by Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh and J.K. Simmons. It starts off with intensity and ends on an even higher note. Couple all of that with the fact Amazon renewed the series for 2 more seasons and it is the perfect voice in a Marvel and DC saturated market. Its an incredible series, plus the show's official Twitter page is an absolute blast to interact with. It's everything a show television series should be and it and only had 8 episodes.

1. Dopesick- Wow. Tears will flow while watching this one. Its just too real for that not to occur. This is a drama about greed, addiction and the everyday struggle of those who are affected by it. Lead by Kaitlyn Dever, Michael Keaton and Rosario Dawson, Dopesick excels because of the ensemble cast who all step up when necessary. It's one of those rare series that tells a complete story with various moving parts that it is not at all complicated to follow. It's a sprawling narrative set between the late 90s and mid 2000s and it never skips a beat when flying in and out of the timeline. It's one hell of an emotional Rollercoaster and at times is very hard to watch. You should invest in various boxes of kleenex if you plan on binge watching this series before the Holidays. It will make you appreciate what you have.
