Part of the Portsmouth team that won the FA Cup in 2007–08, Muntari became a full international in 2002 and earned over 80 caps for the Ghana national team.

With a current net worth estimated at over $3.9 million dollars, he helped Inter Milan win the Champions League in the 2009–10 season.
