I'm sure Netflix has been your most used app recently due to the fact we are all stuck in our houses with nothing to do because of Covid-19. So, if you haven't binged enough, grab a snack, sit back down, and see our top 10 Netflix series to binge in 2020.

10. Cobra Kai

If you want to get a bit nostalgic, I suggest watching a classic spinoff of Karate Kid, Cobra Kai. Just three decades after their original meeting, Johnny Lawrence is back and better than ever in the old dojo. He reopens Cobra Kai Dojo and finds himself, all these years later, face to face with his old rival, Daniel La Russo.

9. Love on the Spectrum

If you're a sucker for romance, this is the show for you! In a very interesting and romantic show, we get an inside look at how people on the spectrum find love. This series follows several young Australians on the spectrum as they figure out dating and love. This charming cast of characters include two couples and a handful of singles who are trying to find true love. In some sorts, this is a reality dating show - showing speed dating, blind dates, uncomfortable romantic conversations, real disappointment, and long cringe-worthy pauses between numerous conversation topics. Love on the Spectrum shows how real people in real life conquer their differences and find their way about romance and true love.

8. Unsolved Mysteries

If you love a good show that may keep you up at night, this is the one for you. This show is just what the title tells - unsolved mysteries. These episodes all end in cliff hangers because to this day, they still have not been solved. It's a spinoff of the '90s classic Unsolved Mysteries, and each of the episodes highlights a different cold case. From strange sights of UFOs, to paranormal activity, this show has it all, and has even been able to spark some interest in reopening cases and digging deeper into solving them.

7. The Baby-Sitters Club

Fan of the classic novel series, The Babysitter's Club? This new-aged series is a spinoff of just that! In the town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut, these tweens have been thrown headfirst into the new and updated world of smartphones and social media. Each of these characters stay true to the ones in the novel, with a little new-age twist to them. Yet, even with all of the updated technology, the best thing about The Baby-Sitters Club is that they touch on many topics in today's society. This ten-episode diversion into your childhood favorite is like a step into the past!

6. Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

There were few news stories bigger than the arrest and suicide of Jeffrey Epstein, one-time high-society financier and convicted sexual offender in 2019. This docuseries includes interviews with Epstein’s former colleagues and associates—and particularly chilling deposition footage of Epstein himself. But, director Lisa Bryant focuses on the stories of the survivors, women who were drawn into Epstein’s circle and are brave enough to share their accounts with the world.

5. Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness

If you haven't heard of the Tiger King, then you must've been living under a rock this entire year. The numerous memes and TikTok songs inspired by the show have sure made it into a hit! This Netflix seven-part docuseries follows Joe Exotic, a tiger breeder and private zookeeper in Oklahoma, through his various campaigns for office, polygamous marriages, music videos, and vicious feuds. With a quirky cast of characters whose crimes must truly be seen to be believed, the show is as engrossing as it is flawed. At the very least, it’ll take your mind off the news cycle for a few hours or even lead you to make a TikTok about Carol Baskin.

4. Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez

As humans, we all love to watch sports, but some people love the players more than the game. Well, if you were a fan of NFL star, Aaron Hernandez, this will be a, eye-opening docuseries for you! This series is a haunting portrait of the NFL star who became a convicted murderer. It revisits the 2015 murder of Odin Lloyd for which Hernandez was found guilty. It also includes his trial for the 2012 double homicide of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado for which he was acquitted. But if you look beyond the crimes, the docuseries paints a picture of the man himself with new audio recordings of Hernandez’s phone calls from prison—to his lawyers, mother, and his young daughter. It also shines light on the extreme dangers of football to the brain and on what it means to be a closeted gay man in the NFL. A must watch even if you are not into sports!

3. Dead to Me

If you love comedy and suspense, this is the show for you. This two season series dives deeper into the darkly broken psyches of Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy (Linda Cardellini), while never failing to make you laugh at any given moment. Part buddy-comedy, part murder-drama, the series is probably the easiest five-hour binge you'll watch this year. Also, no spoilers, but the way that James Marsden mysteriously continues on as a main character is the biggest treat of the season. While Applegate and Cardellini suck you in, the supporting cast is what helps make this series an astounding 10!

2. Ratched

If you've watched American Horror Story, then you must be familiar with Sarah Paulson. In Ratched, Paulson plays the infamous Nurse Ratched in a highly stylized, very Murphy-esque interpretation of the nurse-turned-malpractice monster. If you want a classic creepy series to keep you on the edge of your bed, this is the one for you!

1. Outer Banks

With probably the most talked show of the year, Outer Banks is a must watch. When you’ve got teens from warring tribes going head to head, there’s going to be drama. Just look at the Montagues and the Capulets, or the Greasers and Socs; it's a classic fight between the classes. But, this time, it’s the Pogues, working-class youngsters on the North Carolina coast, and their posh rivals, the Kooks. They’re into surfing, being impossibly attractive, falling in love, and solving the mysteries around their leader’s missing dad and a buried treasure. What could be more binge-worthy than that?

And that’s the end of my list! Did I mention one of your favorites of 2020 to watch while being locked inside during quarantine? If not, I'd love to know more about them in the comment section down below!
