I can already tell that 2022 is going to be a hell of a year for movie-goers. Super-heroes will dominate the box office along with magical Disney content. To kick the epic year off, I will compile a list of ten films to set our eyes on. Here they are:

10. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

The third chapter follows Dumbledore on his mission to defeat the powerful Gellert Grindlewald. Newt Scamander and his friends must set off on a grand adventure while the darkness continues to grow in the wizarding world. Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne return to their roles, and Mads Mikkelsen replaces Johnny Depp as Grindlewald. The film is expected to be released on April 15.

9. Morbius

Dr. Michael Morbius is determined to find a cure for his rare blood disorder. In the process, he becomes an unfathomable creature. The lines between good and evil are blurred. Which side will he choose? The release of the film, starring Jared Leto, has been pushed back many times due to the pandemic. Currently, the premiere is on April 1 . Hopefully, nothing changes.

8. The Flash

There is not yet a confirmed plot for the first solo Flash movie. All we know so far is that multiple versions of Batman will be involved. That includes Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton. Set your calendars for November 4, to see Barry Allen on the big screen.

7. The Northman

This epic Icelandic tale tells the story of a Viking prince (played by Alexander Skarsgard) who avenges his father's death (played by Ethan Hawke) and saves his mother (played by Nicole Kidman). The film also stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Willem Dafoe, and Bjork. The Northman will sail into theaters on April 22.

6. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

The plot is unknown, but the anticipation is ever-growing. Aquaman is premiering his sequel this year. Jason Mamoa and Amber Heard return with James Wan as the director. The video above shows behind-the-scenes footage of the upcoming film. Maybe, an official trailer is around the corner (fingers crossed). Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will swim on-screen on December 16.

5. Don't Worry Darling

Olivia Wilde is making a name for herself as a talented director. Her upcoming feature is about a 1950's housewife who lives in a utopian community with her husband. However, things may not be as perfect as they seem. A very short teaser trailer has recently been circulating on the internet. If you love the idea of Florence Pugh and Harry Styles together, then this is the film for you. Check it out on September 23.

4. Death on the Nile

Detective Hercule Poirot (played by Kenneth Branagh) is on a glamorous cruise on the Nile River when a gruesome murder occurs. Everyone on board is a suspect, including Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Russel Brand, and Annette Bening. The film is similar to its predecessor, Murder on the Orient Express, in terms of plot and a grand ensemble of a cast. Still, Death on the Nile is sure to be a thrilling story. The mystery will be solved on February 11.

3. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Following the events of Avengers: End Game, Doctor Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) seeks to find the Time Stone. Meanwhile, a former friend is hunting down all sorcerers, and Strange unleashes a dreadful evil. Scarlett Witch (played by Elizabeth Olsen) somehow gets involved with the madness following her mess from Wandavision.

2. The Batman

Yes, Batman has been rebooted again. But, this version looks promising. The Riddler is terrorizing Gotham City, and only Batman/Bruce Wayne (played by Robert Pattinson) can stop him. Catwoman (played by Zoe Kravitz) shows up too, but can she be trusted? The Dark Knight himself will fly into theaters on March 4.

1. Anything Disney and Marvel-related

I am cheating here, but it's my list. So, I can do what I want. Besides, the studios producing great content lately are Disney, Marvel, and Pixar. It's only fair to give them some credit. There are many exciting movies to watch out for, such as Disenchanted, live-action Pinocchio, Peter Pan and Wendy, Thor: Love and Thunder, Wakanda Forever, Hocus Pocus 2, and Lightyear.

Do you like my list? What movies are you excited about this year? Tell me your thoughts on Twitter. Also, show your support by liking, tipping, and subscribing. Thank you, and have a great day!
