The Young at Heart

My favourite YouTuber Venus Angelic. The pitch black hair with bangs, the rosy-pink lips, big eyes, the white skin, the cute outfits, the youthful personality and the ideal figure say it all!

Venus Angelic as an adult

How I became a Fangelic (aka Venus Angelic fan)..........

In my first year of college, I started watching more and more YouTube videos that were related to lifestyle, culture and travel after randomly watching one of Taylor R's videos of her teacup poodle Rosie. That was not the only video I watched of Taylor R and her poodle Rosie. For the next six months of post-secondary, I became a fan of Taylor R who was also interested in Japanese culture, Kawaii-inspired fashion, spoke, read and wrote Japanese and made anime-inspired videos at one point in her YouTube career. Those videos were released from 2014-2015 which was way before I entered college. In 2017, I randomly binge watched-her videos while she was residing in Japan at the time.

Three months after watching videos of only Taylor R and her poodle Rosie, I found one of her collaboration videos of her and Venus Angelic travelling and spending the day at Disneyland Tokyo. After liking that specific video, I found another collaboration video of Venus Angelic and Taylor R having a bowling contest and dancing to Michael Jackson together at the bowling alley. After liking that other video, I started researching Venus Angelic on the Internet. With her straight black hair, rosy red lips, white skin and Japanese-inspired outfits, I thought she was Japanese before I found out she was Swiss-Hungarian. I also thought she was the same age as Taylor R until her autobiography stated that she was born in 1997, which is the same year I was born in. Than I discovered two things I have in common with Venus Angelic: an interest in Asian culture and being born in 1997. Once I gained enough knowledge about Venus Angelic and her personal life on the internet, I slowly watched more of her videos and eventually became a Fangelic!

Enjoy a collaboration video of Taylor R and Venus Angelic that I love!

For the last two years, I have learned so much about Venus Angelic. She and I have so much in common such as foreign languages, books, pop culture, Asian culture, cooking, baking, travelling, puppies and going out to different amusement centres. Since she has been travelling and living in international countries for most of her childhood and adolescence, her ability to speak 7 languages is phenomenal. You can find a couple of her videos on learning languages, which in one of them you can hear her communicate in some of them: Dutch, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, German, Swiss German and English. Many of her videos are in English and Japanese, but you can hear her speak a few of those other languages in the odd video she has created.

Here is one of her videos about foreign languages that I love even to this day today!

Regarding travel and tourism, she has visited many national amusement parks, karaoke bars and public markets in Korea and Japan, which you can also discover on many of her tourism vlogs. Personally, I favour her petting zoo vlog, her fishing vlog and a bunch of her Japanese cafe videos, because I also have a passion for food, tourism and animal-related hobbies such as fishing. The mood, the animations and the background music are what really make the videos so eye-catching and fun to watch. Her cute outfits, her personality and the friends she has made in many of these vlogs really inspire me to do the same with my life and that life is too short to not do what you love to do, despite how old you are.

Take a look at the video game- inspired fishing vlog which is my favourite out of all of her tourism and leisure vlogs! You will hear her speak both Japanese and English throughout the vlog!

Out of all her vlogs, I also like watching her cooking/baking videos since I am big into culinary arts. I was not a skilled cook at the end of my adolescence, but her videos definitely got me thinking about potential recipes to remember for when I do learn to cook and bake. Six months after watching a collection of her cooking and baking vlogs, my dream came true- I was finally able to cook and bake autonomously. Since Venus is passionate about Japanese cuisine and culture, many of her culinary and pastry videos are based on Asian cuisine. Some of her recipes are more complicated for novice chefs, many of them are at the novice level. The majority of her recipes are dessert and snack recipes, but she has made the occasional video of authentic Japanese dishes that do not include artificial ingredients such as sugar or ramen noodles. Many of the dishes that she has created are the foods that I enjoy as an adult. She has inspired me to continue following my passion for cooking and Asian cuisine.

Enjoy a cooking video of her making Onigiri (Japanese rice balls) from 2012 (age 14 at the time)! This video is in Japanese, so feel free to turn on the subtitles!

Onigiri was just one of the savoury Japanese dishes she created during her YouTube career. Japanese savoury dishes that were authentic and fake such as Japanese Hot Pot and Pizza Ramen were also made and posted on her channel throughout the years. Out of all of her savoury dishes that she has uploaded videos of, the Italian Pizza Ramen would have to be my favourite, because I am a huge fan of both pizza and spaghetti.

Enjoy a couple of her cooking videos that I found! Below is Venus making the unique Italian Pizza Ramen!

Here is a real cute video of authentic Japanese cuisine!

Venus Angelic is quite the chef! She also has amazing taste in food and will not hesitate to try any unusual foods. She is also a magnificent pastry chef, which goes to show you that you don't need to have a certificate in Pastry Arts to be a talented cake decorator or candy maker. The fact that she does not obtain a certificate in Pastry Arts and still has the ability to concoct Japanese/Kawaii-inspired desserts and snacks comes from the constant exposure to the Japanese and Kawaii culture. As you continue watching her videos, you will see her making anything from the most peculiar Slimy Japanese Nerunerunerune to the moist, milky, sugary and the yummy-in-your-tummy kind of Rice Cooker Cheesecake. I do not have a specific recipe video that I would consider my favourite, however I really love her cupcake and candy-making videos. Every time I watch all of her cooking and baking videos, it motivates me to continue following my passion for culinary arts and to not give up. Venus makes it possible for me, by wearing her adorable girly costumes, her optimism and all of the colors I see in her videos.

Below are a few of her baking and candy making videos for you to enjoy and get inspired by!

Despite the generous amount and time she puts into baking and cooking, she is also a foodie! Venus enjoys venturing out to new cafes and restaurants while she is out and about gallivanting the cities of Japan. In addition to trying new Japanese dishes at newly discovered Japanese cafes and restaurants, she has also attempted to try weird Japanese snacks such as Japanese Eel Crisps which are impossible to get in western countries such as Canada or The States. I do not have a specific favourite food video of Venus, but I really enjoy the majority of her restaurant and cafe videos. In fact, Venus and I exhibit similar behaviours when it comes to food and eateries. I also love exploring new restaurants, trying new foods and purchasing unknown snacks at Asian markets.

Venus definitely has good taste in the food department! She is skinny as a popsicle stick and can consume excessive amounts of junk food without gaining weight, which I think is incredible. She can eat enough food for a whole birthday party and not get ill, which I am unable to do because I am susceptible to stomach aches and vomiting. I love food and can't resist eating something when I love it so much. I am a huge junk food fan, which is why I tend to concentrate on more of her Japanese snack and dessert videos as opposed to her authentic Japanese cuisine videos. Some of the snacks that she can access in Japan are products I can easily find at the Asian supermarket I visit in my home country, such as the Japanese candy making kits. Every time I visit the snack aisle at the local Asian market, I see a heap of Japanese candy making kits that take up most of the space in the aisle.

Venus does not just focus on eating and purchasing Japanese food products. Westernized food products and fast-food chains are also popular in Japan. Places like McDonalds are common in Japan, but the menu is different from the typical McDonalds menu you would find in The States or Canada. However, the classic Chicken McNuggets are found in all of the international McDonalds restaurants. A few years ago, Venus uploaded an entertaining video of her consuming 100 chicken nuggets with mayonnaise and soda that she purchased from McDonalds. Out of all of her fast-food videos, that one would have to be my favourite, because of the catchy electronic music in the background. I also really admired all of the animations and colors that were added in the video. Venus' energy is also very high, which makes it such a fun video to watch.

Venus is mainly a positive person. As she got older and her YouTube career progressed, she began to suffer from depression, an eating disorder and social anxiety. She has been a part of the YouTube family since she was 13 and was subjected to cyberbullying which took a toll on her mental health. It began to affect her YouTube career to the point where she faked her real emotions. At one point, she announced that she was going to take a break from YouTube to focus on her mental health and wellbeing. What really inspires me about this is, Venus continued to keep in touch with her fans on Instagram. She would post the odd thing about her not being in the best state or about her having a tough day, but verified that she will be able to get through this. She is strong and very motivated to continuing living life to its fullest. Every time I see her posts that are mental health related, I start to reflect on my own experiences with mental illness and that I am no different than Venus. Venus and I are both strong and able to overcome challenging obstacles. Every time I go through a rough patch, I always say to myself "if Venus can get through this, I can get through this. I am no different than Venus just because I have Autism". All of her posts send out a meaningful message to all of her fans, whether they are mood related or not. Once she was emotionally stable enough to resume her career, she returned to YouTube which got me really excited.

Check out her video about her mental illness and return to the YouTube community!

After her return to the YouTube community, she gradually stopped making her usual cute videos about Japanese food, outfits and Japanese tourism. She had time to reflect on her career and eventually decided on a new niche for her channel- adult entertainment and pornography. Venus does not only post videos on YouTube. She also has an OnlyFans account where she sells many of her porn pictures online. What I like about her new niche is, she is incorporating her childhood interests and youthful personality into her new videos. Many of her photographs and videos that are both noticed on Instagram and YouTube usually include an Asian-inspired or cute costume or a plushie which I find very adorable. I encourage her to follow her passion but to not change her personality entirely. She will not be the same Venus Angelic everyone values and knows about if she changed drastically. Venus is cute and that will never change! I think she is very talented and outgoing at the same time. Her experiences and her knowledge made her bloom into a gorgeous young woman who has improved socially and mentally, just like myself!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my story about Venus Angelic. Please feel free to subscribe to her channel, like my post, send me a tip and share this story with your friends and family.
