Recently, a French movie, The Wages of Fear, was released on Netflix. I have just finished watching it. Although there is not much to say about this picture, I am sharing whatever is there in case you are excited to see it.

You don't have to work very hard to watch this picture. It is a two-hour-long ride. It has been released in Hindi along with its original language, and if we talk about its Hindi dubbing, it is good.

Keep in mind that you should ignore watching this picture with your family because, along with nudity, violence is also shown here.

During the 1950s, there was a film called The Wages of Fear, and this 2024 picture is an official remake of the same. I have not seen the original one, but I learned when I was writing this review that The Wages of Fear is actually a remake.

If any of you have seen the original The Wages of Fear film, then please tell me how it was actually made, but let me tell you how its remake version is.

So see, the story of the picture presents the journey of a team. I mean, there is a small village around the desert where gas leaks, due to which there is a big threat to the lives of the people living next to the well.

If that gas leak is not stopped soon, then all its surroundings, like the jungle, people, animals, etc., will be destroyed, due to which a company prepares a team, and the team is given the task of somehow delivering nitroglycerin to that village.

Then all the heroes set out, so the question arises now as to whether they would be able to reach them in time or not, and what are the personal conflicts of the heroes? Watch this picture to find out.

The Wages of Fear 2024 Review

Now if I tell you how this movie is, then for me, this picture was a decent thriller. There is a decent buildup of everything in the first half, and it pays off in the second half. You will get to see some intense, thrilling, exciting moments and some very good action pieces, which will keep you invested in the picture.

The drama portion is a bit high; what is the history of the team? Why are they separated from each other? And when they come again for the mission, whatever twists and turns they have regarding their conflicts will be told to you through the drama, which also gets boring in between; otherwise, the teamwork is quite good.

In the end, it may happen that, according to the way her bounding is shown, it will hit you a little emotionally.

The development of each character is limited to the surface level only; only an introduction has been given, and their past has not been explored much.

The story is simple; there is a simple mission and the things that are seen related to it. That is, when the team members set out to deliver the package, all the challenges that are seen by them will keep you connected to the screens somewhere, and you will be excited to know whether these team members will finally be able to reach their destination or not.

The production value is good; be it desert scenes, blasting scenes, or the fire that breaks out in the village, it has been depicted very well through VFX, etc.

In terms of performances, I liked the performance of the main hero, who looks a bit like Vin Diesel; I mean, he has been given a Dominic Toretto look; it is fun to watch, and now the performances of the other actors were also good.

Conclusion

Overall, I would just tell you that if you don't have anything good to watch, you want to watch a decent thriller picture, or you want to watch a picture made on a mission, then yes, without too high expectations, you can try out this picture once.

Well, please share your opinions as to how you liked this picture.
