In the same realm of fixing the narrative, some believe Doom is actually "fixing" the temporal damage caused by Steve Rogers staying in the past at the end of Endgame. This would frame Doom as a cosmic janitor cleaning up the Avengers' messes, providing a "necessary evil" justification for his actions.
In the first official teaser for Doomsday, Steve is shown living a quiet life at a ranch house, cradling a baby (presumably his and Peggy’s child). This adds a new layer of stakes: Steve isn't just fighting for the world anymore; he is fighting to protect the life and family he built in the past. Doom may be targeting this family to draw Steve out of "retirement."
There is a theory that "Old Man Steve" (from the end of Endgame) didn't just give Sam Wilson the shield because it was the right thing to do, but because he had already seen Sam lead the team during the events of Doomsday. This would mean the Steve we see in Doomsday is the younger version living in the past, who gets pulled into the future to fight alongside the modern Avengers before eventually growing old and returning to that bench in Endgame.

Instead of a long origin story, the collapsing multiverse will cause the X-Men to "glitch" into the new reality. Recent teaser breakdowns have spotted robotic Sentinel feet in footage, suggesting the X-Men's world is already colliding with the MCU.
Visual clues from recent teasers, showing Shuri and the Talokanil in a desert, suggest that Doom may create "Battleworld" by merging fragments of planets and physically draining the oceans in the process.
By the time the credits roll, the current MCU may be completely deleted, leaving the heroes stranded on a patchwork planet ruled by God-Emperor Doom. This serves as a "factory reset," allowing the franchise to bring in the X-Men and Fantastic Four as permanent fixtures in a reconstructed universe.
