The Top 5 Hottest Men of Arthdal Chronicles

Who was the hottest to you?

There are a lot of hot guys in Arthdal Chronicles- I would even argue every guy that makes an appearance is attractive in some way or another.

5. Rottip (actor: Nichkun aka Nitchakhun Horawetchakun)

The neanthal baby saved and personally raised by Asa Hon, Eunseom's saram(human that doesn't dream) mother. I dunno if it's the contacts or the long hair but you got to be honest when he and Yiseuroobeu pulled up on the screen didn't you get twilight vibes when the wind was blowing back their long, luscious locks for just a second? They looked absolutely sexy. No? Okay. I'll see myself out. Personality- wise... Rottip is well... a neanthal.

Neanthals never involve themselves with the affairs of the saram, because they see the land as a place for everyone that provides, so they can't relate to the saram's plight over securing slaves and resources to expand their nation.

He seems cold from afar but proves himself to be more humorous and thoughtful compared to his buddy, Yiseuroobeu(I'm just gonna call him Yisuruby, because his name is long as hell).

4. Yiseuroobeu (Yisuruby) (Song Jong Ho)

He's an adonis and I don't care what any of you have to say, fight me!

He's also a smooth talker, and a gentleman. Even when the last neanthal female, Nun Byeol, turns him down she still shows interest in seeing him most thanks to this, and whenever she's in trouble he always comes to her rescue. I'm worried that where her character arc is going it may lead to him getting involved in Saram affairs because of this and possibly dying trying to protect her. I really hope not. I want him to live long and I'm not sure who would win if he were to face off against Tagon.

Yiseuroobeu was a child saved and raised by the neanthal, Ragaz, the blood father of Eunseom and Saya.

As the last male neanthals alive Rottip and Yiseuroobeu's sole mission is to travel the world looking for mates to repopulate and restore their dying race. So, if you're a neanthal girl go head, slide in their DMs! Just know Rottip is considering Sarams! And Yisuruby hates them.

3. Eunseom (Song Joong-ki)

Some of you may want to fight me for this. Yes, he's our lovely protagonist but he's still number three for me, I'm sorry. It doesn't mean I love him any less, okay?

Eunseom is hot both outward and inward, I'd really like to give him a Number one for his character itself. Offspring of Asa Hon, Ragaz and the twin of Saya. At first, he's an ignorant boy who doesn't know anything, but his instincts and hungry mind help him pick up things easily intelligence- wise and physically as well, he has the ability to see something once and be able to replicate it/remember it. Even when he lies, he's smart, and in comparison, the ignorant villagers he was raised with look super dumb. They always look super dumb. Sometimes the show really tries to mess with our minds trying to trick us into thinking he's god-like. We're always cruelly reminded he isn't omniscient, he's only a lost half-saram and only 1/3 god.

Eunseom is like a pearl cast before swine- that's his main plight. By the end of this series, he's a diamond. A diamond surrounded by swine that constantly levels up not only himself but the swine around him. A natural-born leader that gives hope to characters that at first glance seem irredeemable. He's almost like Jesus, because he keeps converting the dumb savages he meets, he doesn't get to work with upstanding people he has to work with what he has, and I think it's a lesson we all need to remind ourselves whenever we get plucky about befriending the people around us. I hope I'm not proven wrong next season and he is betrayed again.

I want him to reunite with Saya but it's probably going to pan out into Snow White vs Evil Step-Mom scenario thanks to Tanya due to NEVER telling Saya the truth and having him find out from someone else.

2. Saya (Song Joong ki)

I know, you're scratching your heads. They're played by the same actor so how can Saya be hotter than Eunseom? Doesn't make any sense.

It does make sense. Song Joong Ki does such a darn good job of acting, the director of the writing, and the make-up crew of subtlety, that we often forget Saya is the same actor as Eunseom.

Saya is the complete opposite of Eunseom. He's weak due to being raised in isolation. Physically he can't replicate something perfectly when he sees it once, but he does manage to get it eventually within the same day after a couple of tries- hinting that Saya himself is still growing as an Igutu and may become more dangerous in the future.

Eunseom grew up in the wild among ignorant villagers who didn't know what an igutu was. But Saya lives among the "civilized" saram, the people of the industrious Arthdal who drove neanthals to extinction.

Upon first introduction, he seems timid and precious like a little bambi, but he's actually a viper. We go from wanting to hug him and taking him to being terrified of him but still quietly hoping he gets the therapy he needs even though the chances are slim.

Every time he's thinking to himself on screen, one can't help but hold their breath.

What hurts the most is we- at least I, can understand him, his development was stunted, Eunseom got to live in the wild so he could kinda be himself even though he was always an outcast, but Saya? The resentment from being cooped up in a tower and emotionally oppressed when your foster Father is one of the most powerful men in Arthdal and also responsible for the decline of your race?

Am I surprised that the apple raised around poison turned out to be poisonous? Nah. It's just knowing that his link with Eunseom was the only sunlight in his life and now thanks to Tanya it might become something else- it's incredibly sad and frustrating. For this reason, I had a hard time completely liking Tanya herself.

We know Saya's explosion is imminent if not already at 100% (Mob Psycho anyone? Hehe nvm) now that he found out the truth. So I'm bracing myself for the backlash, I really want Tanya to pay the price but I think from what we know of Saya, his target will be Eunseom instead. And I'm hoping being the gem Eunseom is he'll purify Saya. It's just too sad and frustrating to have bros fight over a hoe.

1. Young Tagon. (Jung Jae-won aka the rapper "One")

Kidding, sorry, I had to. The actor they chose to play the young Tagon looks like the present-day Tagon, even their mannerisms are the same so it feels like they could have been the same person but they're two totally different people.

Okay but for real now.

1. Tagon (Jang Dong-gun)

Look at this man! Just look at this beautiful masterpiece! If this picture doesn't do it for ya, you need to watch the drama to see him in action. Man is as handsome as he is dangerous.

The King of Poisonous Apple's here! He's always thinking several steps ahead, and at times we think we know his thought process but by the end of the series we realize we truly don't. He's the main antagonist of this show and gosh darn is he both easy and hard to hate! I know... it's a paradox. You'll understand if you watch.

At times he feels like a complex version of Saya where we go from wanting to protect him to backing away and shaking our heads.

The show gives everyone their side of the story so you will always find yourself rooting for them even if you don't want to.

Especially when they take their own individual revenge against the ones who made them what they are. But then you wake up and smell the roses when they all return to the starting point, and now all of your favorite characters are out to kill each other. AGAIN. -_-

Why? why are we here just to suffer?

If you made it this far, once again, thanks for reading.

Once again the name of this drama is Arthdal Chronicles! You can now find it on netflix, viki, or other asian sites I won't disclose because I wanna keep them alive. :p The less people that know the better. Go fish!

It would seem the pictures of Saya got taken down but he is basically the guy in the picture at the very start.
